take a night-stroll
by globetrott
Take a night-stroll - the evening is a great time to take a walk, when most of the cruise-liners have left and the sun is not burning down so strong any more.
some of the shops will be open untill late at night for a more relaxed shopping. informal dress is OK.
The Hora
by DrexelDragon
The funnest thing to do, in my opinion, in Mykonos Town is to get lost in the Hora. It's a maze of white washed buildings and outlined streets. Every one of the 5 days we were there, we would find a new street that we had not been down. You can come across some great finds just by getting lost. The smell of food, flowers, and salt air makes its way thru the narroways, and it makes it a great place to walk around. Also great for picture taking.
Viewpoint overlooking Mykonos Town

I couldn't say exactly where this picture is taken, but I think there are enough spots you can find with a view like this..and I would certainly rent a car and drive around because you'll get some incredible views like this one of Mykonos Town. Everyone is always running to the Little Venice to have a drink and watch the sunset (which I also recommend to do once), but if you can find a viewpoint like the one in this photo, the view is breath taking. It is really a nice thing to do to sit there and just sit and watch over the town, and also a great place to be for the sunset as well--and you don't have to pay 12 Euros for a drink!
Enchantment in Mykonos

"Platy Yalos"
"Ornos Beach"
This is Ornos Beach, it's soft and quiet and the water is like crystal and smooth. You needn't worry about a mouth full of sand at this beach(in Santorini the sand is punishing!!), this cove is sheltered and welcoming. The cafes are right on the sand here, the food is amazing here, you must order the saganaki..
"Ornos"
This is Ornos town. It has great apartments, as aposed to Platy Yalos, where you'd be better to stay in a hotel as the prices of the apartments are considerable more than in Ornos. It's breath taking, the palms the weeping flowered trees overwheling th white cubist houses.. the friendly locals wishing you good morning from their backyard which you stumbled through by mistake.. and the waffles with ice cream for breakfast on the beach. When you're in Greece you must eat!!
