Be prepared for anything.

If you are jsut doing the islands, you will need little else than your swimming gears. Remember sun tan lotions and sun screens . Ok, this will sound funny, but then again we had not thought of it. My husband dived into a sparkling pool of the hotel, and misjudged the depth. He was lucky to get away with just a superficial cut on his nose. But we did not have any band aids, or antiseptic cream, or PAIN PILLS.. Yes, well ,once again, we did not think we were going to be eaten alive by mosquitoes, at this stunning little hotel on the beach, and we had no mosquito repellant. We fought them off until the early morning...

Delos

This is the Terrace of the Lions, which at one time looked over the Sacred Lake, the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. The lake was drained in 1925 to avoid malaria outbreaks, but four lions remain from the original nine, a fifth one having been taken by pirates to Venice where it now guards the entrance to the arsenal.
Elia Beach
by Maryimelda
If it's water-skiing, para-sailing, windsurfing or boating that you like, then Elia Beach is the place for you. This is a lovely long sandy beach on the South Coast of Mykonos and there are plenty of tavernas to drop into for a cool drink and a bite to eat when you have finished. If you just want to relax in the sun, you can do that too as there are umbrellas and sun lounges provided and not as many people as at some of the other beaches.
MYKONOS

I came several times to Greece, while working onboard of the cruise-ships M/S Vistafjord and M/S Berlin.
Mykonos was always my favorite greek island - we normally came there in the afternoon and stayed until midnight.
Here on this pic you see M/S Vistafjord anchored off the island - all passengers and crew-members going ashore were taken by tenders to the island.
