Myconos - Delos (cosmopolitan meets ancient)

It was Easter time (early May) 1992 when I have visited this fantastic island of the Aegean sea. A great place to be, especially not on August when it is crowded and the prices are high.
The place offers great class and beauty. Whatever you prefer, clubs, bars or shopping you can find it there.
Go to "Alefkandra" or "Little Venice" -you can't miss it- and try the bars "Veranta" or "Mont Parnasse". You can't miss this church too. The girl won't be there, she left on 1992. I haven't seen her since 1994, Vasso where are you? :-)
Myconos: Flights available from every major European city -even from Luxembourg from where there is no direct flight to Athens, the capital of Greece!
5 hours to get there by boat from the port of Athens (Piraeus) or 2,5 hours if you choose the port of Rafina (50 Km from Athens).

I came several times to Greece, while working onboard of the cruise-ships M/S Vistafjord and M/S Berlin.
Mykonos was always my favorite greek island - we normally came there in the afternoon and stayed until midnight.
Here on this pic you see M/S Vistafjord anchored off the island - all passengers and crew-members going ashore were taken by tenders to the island.

There is an American book about Pete the Pelican, but not related to Myconos. There are many publications about Myconos and PP in magezines and in the Internet.
Checking out Mykonos in August
Will be travelling to Mykonos on the 15th of Aug by Flying Dolphins 7:30 ferry .Anone intereseted in meeting up and saying hello is welcome

august 15 is Santa maria and is the busiest day to go to myconos. i suggest you get there at least a week before like we will or it will be a hassle for accomodation
