Hotel location, help!

by vivispy

Hi there!
Im about to book my hotel in Mykonos, and dont know exactelly what is the best to do, location wise.
It is ok to stay in Mykonos Town, or will be a "zoo" 24/7?
i would like to be able to party, when fell like it and relax, in a quite hotel when i want to sleep...
so so far, Im thinking about Rhenia Bangalos or Nazos Hotel(anybody stayed there before? was it nice?) or Amazing views in Angios Stefanos (too far?).
what do you guys think about it?
thank you!

Cant comment of the hotels but Mykonos does tend to party from about 11 pm to the very wee hours of the dawn... Some shops don't even open until 11 or noon.

Don't know the hotels but the Nazos is in the ideal place beside the school of fine arts (5 mins to town and close to the bus stop for beaches) Tourlos is out on a limb in between town and San Stephanos which is quiet for you. Stay either in town/Ornos or Plati Yialos but don't get a place in between as transport is awkward (buses are always full and won't stop)
If you need anything more e-mail

I stayed at the Tagoo Hotel in Tourlos area which is a short walk from the main town. Check out my Mykonos VT page as I have pics of the hotel. It also has a pool, bar and all room are air conditioned.

Enjoy your stay!

Travel Tips for Mykonos

Popular Pelicans

Don't miss the opportunity of viewing a natural landmark of the island, some pretty pink pelicans that stick around the seaside just opposite that line-up of restaurants in the island centre. They are friendly, like to pose before cameras and a favourite among kids. They are known to bask in the midday sun and stroll off before sunset around 6. The nice and leisurely walks around the island

To/From Santorini

by krissyM

You can travel around the island by "flying cat". From 10 April to 31 October 2009 the ferries leave Santorini daily (except for every second Wednesday) at 11:50 am and arrive in Mykonos at 14:25.

Ticket prices are 57 and 38 euro for buisness and economy class respectively for a one-way journey.

The port of Mykonos is beautiful as countless pictures will attest to. The habor is shaped in a graceful crescent with the whitewashed town crowded behind. The Venetian windmills atop the hill to the south, crown the setting. The open seas and Delos beyond, complete the scene.

At the lower ground she was taking his pictures. I would assume they where friends, nothing profesional, just a point and shoot camera. They step ahead to the second floor. We follow later. This was what we found. I am quite open minded, and I am sure it is a free place to do what you please. But did't they think of the +150 other visitors in th island? Surely not, I can tell you this by the look of an eldery couple that was shocked by the scenary....

Mykonos. PartyParty Beach PArty Beach PArty PArty

Mykonos is the party island of the Cyclades and its kind of like San Francisco in several ways. First of all itýs very hilly, and thereýs lots of people on motorbikes zipping around all the time. There are many great bars to go to and there are a lot of Gay people. The beaches are excellent and the clubs and bars are always packed late into the night. If you are not used to being around gay people you may have to be careful where you go because there are some beaches and bars and clubs where you will be uncomfortable. Personally, that kind of thing did not bother me since I am from New York so I am used to it, but you should be aware of it if you are traveling with people from more conservative places.
