More about Vencia Hotel
Highly recommended

We stayed in the Vencia Hotel in September 2007. I booked direct with the property by email and Stella was responsive and helpful. We were offered a Junior Suite for the price of a standard room since we were on our Honeymoon, and the room was wonderful with a brilliant view over the pool and town.
The room and entire hotel were freshly renovated, clean, modern and very comfortable, service was friendly and I would highly recommend this hotel!
view of a lifetime!

The Vencia hotel was a wonderful choice! The views of the harbor and the town were to die for, you could spend all day at the pool overlooking the Agean Sea and all the arriving cruise ships! At night, the town and ships just glowed! The hotel overlooked the town so there was about a 10 minute uphill climb, but well worth it. The rooms were a nice size and we had a balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the view. The bathroom was tile, the shower was terrific and must have been newly renovated. Breakfast was served at an outdoor patio and was fine, several types of cereal, bread, some fruit and of course, greek yogurt. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with regards to taxis, rentals and excursions. We even ate a couple of lunches there and the food was very good. We would go back in a minute for a lot longer than the 3 days. We have absolutely nothing but praise for this hotel.
Absolutely ASTOUNDING stay and hotel … Quality of service? Even better !!!!!

We stayed at Vencia for 7 nights so that we could know the island very well. Staying at Vencia means:
V
for Beauty. That is what you first come across when opening your balcony doors: nice pool, sea, and townview. As mentioned, we got to know the island very well and we can say that Vencia has got one of the best spots in Myconos. Breathtaking, honest!
E
nthusiasm. Tony and Stella were always willing to please us in all we needed. Even the gentleman who took care of the hotel at night was very nice (unfortunately do not remember his name. We had our chats and laughs once back, after the party). Nothing is too much trouble for them, really. I had a situation with my car booking and Tony proactively gave a hand and got another car right away(it’s a good thing they can provide you with that very easy and inexpensively).
N
oiceless. If tired, after a long day (or night) you can stay at Vencia, by the pool and relax. You do not feel you are wasting your time because you can happyly spend hours there taking amazing pictures. Remeber, probably the best spot around.
C
onfortable and Clasy. The hotel itself has recently been refurbished. Simple and very functional rooms with a touch of design. We loved the bathroom! In this case, you can expect what you see in www.vencia.gr , even more, honest.
I
nfinity. We just L O V E D that infintty pool. It is incredibly relaxing swimming in that pool! Or just enjoying the view inside …What a sunset !!
A
mazing value in all! Do not think it twice. Very well worth what you get for what you spend. It’s a bit of a walk coming back up the hill, but it is so authentic and genuine discovering Micono’s narrow streets by foot from Vencia! You do it! It’s one of this little things that will not cost you a penny and be so grateful. We did it almost everyday.
We hope to be back very soon!

Our favorite hotel in Greece!

We went on a Cycladic island hopping trip in early September 2007, and of all the places we stayed, the family-run Vencia was far and away our favorite. We wish we had stayed there more than 3 nights! Stella and Tony are friendly, knowledgeable, and they go out of their way to get you whatever you might want.
After finding Vencia on TripAdvisor, we contacted Stella directly via email, and painlessly reserved our rooms. Our ferry arrived after dark, so we were happy that we had taken Tony up on his offer to pick us up at the dock for free. Their daily breakfast is delicious (if you like Greek yogurt), and their lunches and dinners were also quite tasty.
The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, modern, relaxing, and has a beautiful view, not to mention a beautiful pool. As everybody says, it really is only a 5-10 minute walk uphill from town, and while you do have to be able to navigate steps, it's an easy walk that keeps the bustle of town away from where you sleep.
Next time we're on Mykonos, Vencia is where we will be staying. It should be where you stay too!
Amazing

We stayed at this hotel for one night of our tour and it turned out to be the best hotel in 3 weeks away. Beautifully (and newly) decked out, very modern and comfortable with an amazing pool and views and not a bad location. Only a short walk until you hit the laneways of shops as you head down towards the water and windmills. Given the types of hotels we had been staying in - (about 2 star), this one was a very welcome surprise! and if I were to stay in Mykonos again, would try booking this hotel first!
Wonderful Hotel

We visited Mykonos in September. I used Trip Advisor to get information about this hotel. The reviews were correct. The hotel picked us up upon arrival to the island. The hotel is immaculate. The staff is very helpful. Our room was more than I had anticipated. Everything appeared new and clean. The view could not have been better. The location is great, town is a couple minute walk down hill. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel added to our wonderful experience on this island.

can i tell you i am thrilled to hear such great things still about this hotel. i went with my girlfriends to this hotel in 2001!!! its great to still hear that it is as perfect as it was when we went there. the staff were so friendly and welcoming and there wasnt anything they wouldnt do for you. we even got asked if we wanted fish for dinner as one of the guys at the hotel was going fishing that day for fresh fish! it was a great location only 10 minutes walk from the main fira town and the views are immaculate. the rooms were clean and beautiful. i highly recommend this hotel to anyone who will stay there, you will not be disappointed, especially with the magnificent pool!!!
Just excellent!

The hotel is great and the staff very friendly...
I loved the upgrade to the honeymoon suite (with no extra cost) that is spacious and luxurious and has the best view ever! The pool where we spent most of our time is absolutely great! I also loved the food in the hotel restaurant (try the lobster spaghetti)! We are definetely going back in Mykonos and Vencia!

Piraeus Ferries

We arrive in Athens on the 8th of July and heading out to Mykonos on the ferry. Two days later we head out to Santorini. We need to be back in Athens by the 15th. Can someone please send me a website or times of ferries so we can link this up with our flights. Cheers

Hi
Have you thought about a flight from Santorini to Athens. Aegean or Olympic Air. It may not cost alot more. Flight time is 30 minutes. You may be able to tie this in with a flight home on the 15th.
Cheers

A flight back to Athens may be the go. We want to do the Ferry thing for the whole experience however it's going to be hard to connect Ferry times with flight times on our way back. Any ideas where to stay in Mykonos? Don't want to stay in a hostel but it doesn't have to be a classy hotel either, just somewhere affordable

There will be people at the dock with rooms to let, just make sure that the rooms are in the town and not in the middle of nowhere

Hi
We stayed at the Vencia Hotel - http://www.thesaurus.gr/hotels/mykonos/town/vencia_hotel/vencia_hotel.htm. Fantastic views, breakfast terrace and pool area. Short stroll to town. Clean, basic rooms. Ask for a room with a balcony and view of the town/sea. Book ASAP. Otherwise try - http://www.mykonosrooms.gr/

We are also going to be in Greece at the same time hopping the Greek Isles as well. If you want we should try to meet up at some point. We are always looking to meet cool, fun people from different parts of the world.
Let me know!
