Naxos
Naxos is the Cyclades largest island - very rugged, yet lush and scenic as well. It has ferry connections to almost anywhere!
Naxos' landmark on Palatia Islet - Apollo's Arch - the entrance way to the unfinished temple (and ruin) of Apollo. Many good photo opportunities here!
Just the classic Cycladic architecture! Love the contrast of whitewash and sky blue!
This was a little piece of heaven for the two Ios-tired backpackers that we were. We were given this accomodation, sight unseen, from the town tourist board - they said the hostel was full. It was not much more money than the hostel - was brand new with two double beds, a good shower, tv, air-con, little kitchenette! We hardly wanted to leave! Also found a wonderful restaurant called Scirocco's - yum!
This is the courtyard of the Naxos Archaeological Museum.
Sleepy kitten!
