10’ walk from Kamares at Agia Marina on a quite area. When we arrived by ferry we called them and Yiannis (the owner) came with his car and took us to the hotel.
You can easily walk to Kamares (10’) for the restaurants. Café, bakeries and some markets or to the beach (5’, 200m away). A car or scooter will be useful for excursions in other places on the island, we booked a car with Apollo Rental in Apollonia, it was good that they brought the car in the hotel.
We were surprised of the room (pic 1), usually at this price range (less than 40euros for double) you get a spartian room but in Vila Areto every room is unique with beautiful romantic decoration and old style furniture. The room was spacious and clean. The only problem was the low pressure of the hot water in the shower.
We had a balcony with view towards Kamares (pic 2), there are other rooms that overlook the sea. There are 28 rooms in total, some of them include a kitchenette.
We had suberb breakfast here, you can sit inside (where the lobby is) or outside at the balcony. Apart the usual (cereals, coffee, milk, orange juice, cheese/ham etc) we had fresh eggs, yogurt, olives and great mizithra (famous local cheese) that we ate with paksimadia (barley rusks, an exclusively Greek twice-baked bisquit that usually need to be soaked briefly in liquid to soften) that were flavored with glykanisos(anise).
warm, friendly and polite owners, excellent service in general and value for money (34e in early may). There was free wi-fi. The area in front of the hotel is the parking lot (free of charge of course)
