Black sand, anyone?
by Restless-in-kl
For something different, try Perissa beach. What's special about this place is that its sand is black (volcanic) but the waters remain absolutely blue and clear.
Be careful, the black sand is very hot if you walk barefoot in the sun though the water is still too cold to swim in. What a contrast!
The Artist & His Prints
by Sharrie
The painter is Manolis Sivridakis & he's the man here. & this is his Art Gallery. Some are prints while others are art pieces. So far, I've seen the nicest collection in Oia here. I'm not a painting collector but some of you might be. So, check out his paintings. The gallery is on the path towards the castle.

"BOAT TRIP TO SANTORINI"
It is only 4 hours from Crete to Santorini on the boat...
Today, Santorini is no longer the small volcanic island of the Greek archipelago. It is a central island, known all over the world, ready and hospitable to everyone.
"PYRGOS"
Black, white and blue ...
The imposing settlement with its white pictoresque buildings was the capitol of the island till 1800.
"Panoramic view of the bay"
The contrast of the deep blue of the sea with the red, brown, and black colours of the land create a wild, imposing natural beauty not found elsewhere
