Sunsets in Oia
by littlesam1
Perhaps the best known attraction in Oia is the beautiful sunset. It truely is one of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen. However its a very big tourist attraction so its not a romantic or quiet moment. I have a travelougue at the bottom of this page describing my experience with the sunset at Oia.
I bought it...

From the same shop (Tefra Art Gallery). I've to buy something for special people. So, I bought! These ceramics pieces are designed by M. & M. Patramanis & they are handcrafted.
These items (presumably monks) reminded me of one of the Star Wars series...
Beautiful Oia

Oia, at the northern tip of Santorini, overlooks the caldera and is full of shops, villas, and restaurants yet lacks the truly touristy feel of Fira. The buildings, mostly bright white but with enough color to make things interesting, cling to the cliff face like barnacles. The pedestrian lanes wind up and down stairs and meander around corners in the most charming of ways, and another bougainvillea seems to be dangling its flowers over a wall at every turn.
For shoppers, Oia has a lovely row of shop after shop -- you'll find mostly jewelry and works of art. Here is a typical lane.
Below Oia, where the sea laps at the base of the cliff, is the little harbor of Ammoudi. The small waterfront is lined with a number of restaurants where you can feast on delicious, fresh, grilled fish.
