Out the window . . . by soccergrrl The rooms are small, but you have your own balcony and ours had a little kitchenette. And the view, well, it simply cannot be beat. (The picture here is looking out our little window from inside the room.) I would stay here again and I highly recommend it.
As I mentioned, the view is unparalleled. There is a lovely pool and a sundeck, both with the same views you get from your balcony. The staff are helpful and pleasant and the donkey taxi is a welcome help with luggage! Infinity pool by Restless-in-kl Voted by Conde Nast magazine as one to the top hotels in the world, Perivolas is extraordinary. Here's an excerpt that I've taken from its website : Faithful to the tradition of Santorini's unique architecture, a group of 300 year- old caves that were once the homes, wineries and stables of indigenous fishermen and farmers were restored. With the help of native craftsmen and using volcanic raw material, this historical setting has been transformed into an A´ Class complex of 17 private houses, reviving an age-old neighborhood called Perivolas. The complex is set within an amphitheatrical landscape of curves stepping down to a central stone terrace with a pool that flows over the edge of the cliff into an Aegean horizon. Next to the pool, an old winery is reborn as an indoor cafe and a poolside bar. Please visit my travelogue for more pictures. Would definitely recommend Perivolas for those who wants a taste of traditional Santorini homes and romance.
Breathtaking panorama from your cave house Its infinity pool Unique huge cave houses with vaulted ceilings, domed bathrooms and loungers outside by the pool Excellent personalised and intimate service by staff Yummy buffet breakfast

We arrived suddenly 2 days EARLY, and even though they were not expecting us the Delifini Villas staff found a place fro a us to sleep, they were FANTASTIC! After our first night they upgaded us to one of their Cave Houses. I HIGHLY recommend, they are more than worth the price! It was beautiful and so peaceful.
Outstanding! I can describe my whole experience by saying that one word! The cave house was perfection, we had a hot tub (too cold outside so we never used it) , a private patio overlooking the caldera, the views were to die for! The location was great right in the middle of Oia. One of the funny things was that house came with its own cat! On our first morning we were awakened by a tapping on our door and when I opened it there sat a cat looking at me as if to say, "I'd like my breakfast now please" That afternoon I went and bought a small box of food so the next morning our "wake up cat" got its breakfast. It was a charming addition to our stay. Vasillis took great care of us. The location and quality of these traditional cave homes was a fantastic value. A simple and clean efficiency in the heart of the village and we immediately felt like locals.
The view was spectacular. He has a number of cave homes available to suit the size of your traveling party. Everyone in the village knows him and he is incredibly helpful and accommodating. He also has a restaurant, Lotza.

by Snipernurse There are many places to stay in Oia, I arrived on Santorini/Oia without any lodging, and ended up at the first place I stopped, and was lured to other places along my way. I was not, however, very pleased with this lodge. So here are my recommendations. Oia offers very high end lodging, probably requiring booking in advance, and Oia offers some poor accommodation. Be prepared to shop around, and know what you want. Don't just settle and agree, check to make sure the water in the shower is hot. Check to make sure lights work and etc. The place I ended up staying at, I believe called Marco's House, was a old big house that a Greek couple lived in and rented out the extra rooms. The shower only had cold water and smelled a little foul The bed was old and uncomfortable and the room offered very little furniture or other comforts. It was also poorly secured, good thing Oia is safe. So to make a short story long, investigate before agreeing. I believe I paid 30$ a night for this room, you could easily barter for cheaper stay

Oia by LilBeachBum Oia is a pedestrian only town that draws people from all over since this side of the island is the best place to view a sunset. The Canaves Oia Hotel offers a romantic place to capture this town's magic. It is perched high on Santorini Island's caldera offering the best views during the day and night. The Honeymoon Suite has the perfect location being more street level than the standard rooms which give you a small Stairmaster workout climbing the many steps up & down the caldera. The Honeymoon Suite has a balcony with jacuzzi, kitchen and large spacious rooms. The hotel is also conveniently located by a car rental office and a small market.

This is much more luxerious hotel than Canaves Suites. It has bigger rooms and public areas, bigger swimming pool, pool bar, restaurant serving lunch and dinner. It is also posible to eat breakfast downstairs insted of eating in your room. The reception is open 24 hours. This part of Canaves has also a lift going from up to the basement when the restaurant and pool bar is located. The view from both parts of the hotel is breathaking.:)

This is a five star hotel. The hotel is devided into two sections - this is Canaves Oia which is about 150 metres from the second part (Canaves Suites). Canaves Oia is less laxurious and less expensive than Canaes Suites. The rooms are well equiped. There is a pool bar and a small pool in this part - much smaller than in the second part. All public areas are smaller and not that convinient. The recepcion was opend not 24 hours but from 7 am till 11 pm. The staff was really friendly and helpful. This was probably the biggest plus of the hotel. Breakfast is delivered to rooms.
