Please assist with your recommendation for a decent room for under 100 euros including breakfast. Cleanliness & view important.Oia preferred. Thanks.

Sorry for some reason I just got this today..
The Hotel is not on the cliff, but it is about 3 meters from the cliff.. if you get one of those appartments you have a great terrace from where you overlook the caldera.
All at a fraction of other places. Very nice.. Strongly reccomended.

AMAZING OIA SUNSETS

The village of Oia is dramatic, striking and also much calmer than tourist-frenzied Fira. Oia is famous for its AMAZING SUNSETS and its narrow passageways do get crowded in the evenings when folks descend upon the area to celebrate "Sundown". I have to admit, it was one of the most amazing Sunsets that I have ever seen. The bright oranges were spectacular and the outline of the sun going down over the distant mountains was superb.
As the village is situated on top of a cliff, spectacular views can be seen of the volcano of Nea Kameni and the Island of Thirassia.

Windmills

Windmills are a part of Oia's landscape. There are not many of windmills but you will finally see them during your visit. The nicest looking windmill is at the end of the island where people observe sunset.

A beautiful place for Friday night Dinner was choosen in Oia .

"It was a lovely spot wayyyyy down there somewhere."


It was a long challenging walk down there to this lovely '' Sunset '' restaurant .
But the food was good and it was a stunning view from there .
We had a great evening and we went back to Fira by chartered bus .
