"The hotel is situated near the port, and you overlook the beach and port area. Very nice aircon rooms with balcanies either overlooking the sea or the hillside. Mine overlooked the castle and hillside. I would suggest that if you are thinking of going to Astypalaia that you phone the hotel and arrange with them to meet you. I did not have any booking, but saw there bus standing at the airport waiting for people, so just walked to the lady and asked if she had rooms available and if I could get a lift with her. The hotel does not serve any meals, however their is a "cafe" attached to the hotel where you can have breakfast at 5 euro. The breakfast consist of freshly squezed orange juice, coffee, fresh bread, marmelade, boiled egg and a piece of cake.
