Palm tree avenue
by Helga67
Palm tree Avenue is the most beautiful street in Kos town. This avenue lined by huge palm trees brings you from the castle to the centre of town. There is a stone bridge that crosses over Palm tree Avenue from Platea Platanou (where Hipprocates plane tree is), over the former moat to the castle entrance.
Fantastic Crepes
by steventilly about Avanti
The desserts at Avanti are as wonderful as the main courses. This was a bailey's, chocolate & biscuit crepe and although on this occasion it was just for Wife, it was aomply big enough for two. On this occasion I had a waffle with apple & cinnamon, and it too was big enough for two. On our subsequent visit we just had a crepe to share.
The Church of Agia Paraskevi
by grayfo
The church of Agia Paraskevi is situated in the capital of Kos, dominating the heart of the town. The exterior is beautifully painted with beige and blue and its interior is richly decorated. On its feast day, many pilgrims from all over the island come into the church to honour Saint Paraskevi.

Temple
by steventilly
The temple of Dionysys stands just off Grigoriou, like the majority of Kos Town's excavations. This one sits just across the road from the Casa Romana so if you get to the latter and find it closed at least you can cross the street and see something.
The temple is one of the least impressive ruins of Kos Town but it's still worth a few minutes time.
