Hi
I am going to Zorbas beach hotel in July if you have any information about the hotel and Kos, please tell me it's also the first time to Kos.
Regards
I've just arrived home after staying 1 week at this wounderful hotel. Everything was just great. And the location was aprox 2 km away so the area was very low on hotels. They have personals that keep you occupied with different sports and activites for the children. And they speak german and english. The food was great, but we would have hope for som more greek-tradition and local food instead of food "as home". The staff was very friendly and the ocean was clean. I recommend you to rent a moto to explore Kos on your own instead of taking a tour. Go up in the mountains. If you do an exkursion by your self the hotel provide you with a lunchbasket if you aren't at the hotel att lunchtime so you don't have to buy lunch at some taverna. Still, it's nice to eat "out" sometime during the stay.
Bubble Beach as it is widely known is a really good excursion.
There is a cafe here, plenty of car parking and of course - the beach!
In the sea there is a hot spring, and you will see the bubbles rising to the surface, you will usually see a swarm of people in the area where the bubbles are, and they are very warm.
Its like a whirlpool/air spa in the sea....very impressive!
Well worth a few hours if not a day out of your holiday.
This is the third of the four fine buildings that I said surround Eleftherias Square, and shame on me but I have no idea what it is or was. Like many buildings it seems to be occupied these days largely by a cafe, at least on its ground floor.
The final building of the four is the Archealogical Museum, for which I have included no picture!
I loved Kos. From the moment we arrived we knew that it felt special and the following week proved that feeling to be 100% correct. There were many things to like about the place - the picturesque and bustling harbour, the magnifcent castle, the extensive (and free) archialogical sites, the lovely old-town and the wonderful nightlife.
The beaches were decent too if you went looking for them, and there's a great range of places to eat - Kos has been my favourite Greek island so far for eating. There's also good opportunities for cycling along the coast in both directions from Kos town, one (towards Psaladi) on a purpose made cycle track and the other (towards Tingak) on a little used back-road. It all added up to a truly wonderful week away.
