by sandysmith For our stay in Oct 2008 we had booked a 2 week package at Hotel Imperial - a medium sized family-run, friendly hotel. It was just a short walk from the dolphin roundabout, took less than 10 minutes to be right in the centre of Kos Town so really handy location. Room was basic but a good size, we had a balcony over the pool and a plus was a fridge and air-conditioning. Bathroom was airless and no extraction, at least there was a shower curtain! Breakfast was the poorest we had ever had in Greece and the breakfast room was not the most interesting place to sit so after the first couple of days we simply had some rolls with cheese/meat in our room with our own coffee. or went out to a nearby cafe. Hotel's coffee and juice (if you can call it that) was horrible. We certainly didn't miss it when we went off to Patmos. Seeing as we only paid about £260 each for 2 weeks B&B we really can't complain though.
The staff were friendly, nice pool area and bar service. Unlike other nearby hotels the pool is at the back and thus more secluded as is not overlooked from the main road. Made a good base for Kos Town - Shops and restaurants nearby but hotel itself is set one road back from the main road so was quieter and more residential in aspect.
