It is situated 12 km from the city of Rodos and 3 km from the airport.
It is a pretty Community where a tourist can find hotels, souvenir shops, cafe-bars.
The center of Kremasti is 700 km from the sea and the village is connected to the city of Rodos through regular itineraries of the tnansport urban means.
The residents' main occupation is the tourist and few of them, they have the agriculture as main occupation.
The name Kremasti (overhanging) comes from the overhanging church which used to be inside the fortress of the village.
