Wonderful Lindos Mare Hotel
by A TripAdvisor Member
If you are looking for first class service, friendly and attentive staff, wonderful food and stunning views, the Lindos Mare Hotel is the place to be. We have just spent two weeks there, during which time our son and daughter-in-law had their wedding (organised through the hotel's wedding co-ordinator). Forty guests travelled to Rhodes for the wedding and each and every one of them agreed that it was just the best experience ever. The hotel excels in every department and we have already booked to return next year.
wonderful reception at lindos mare

The Lindos Mare did a wonderful job organising our wedding reception. All of our guests loved it, the way the tables and venue are decorated, the setting, the food. It is all fantastic! The staff are so helpful and are excellent at their job. They are experts in organising functions at the hotel. We were made to feel very special and that everything was personal to us. We are hoping to return for our 5th anniversary! Thankyou for all your help at the Lindos Mare!

mike and barbara jones , travelled with libre holidays to the lindos mare hotel .
firstly , full marks to excel airways ,both flights were on time , and our coach transfers all went smoothly.
there are many reviews all with very positive comments about the lindos mare hotel, and quite rightly all the good remarks are fully justified ,The hotel is so clean and spotless the food is absolutely wonderfull, The maitre du runs the dining room with the precision of a rolex watch .
But the hidden quality is the fact that the hotel is so so friendly ,and it is a genuine friendliness which rubs off on all the guests .
at first we were put in room 225 , and i have got to say that wasnt to our liking , but in all fairness the reception soon moved us to a really nice room .
the lindos mare is wonderfull 10 out 10
and i would reccommend this hotel to anyone
enjoy, Mike and barbara
Brilliant hotel

The Lindos Mare was a brilliant hotel. Everything about the hotel was faultless, the only problem it being a way out from Lindos itself, having to take a taxi or bus into Lindos. The food was all excellent with plenty of choice. All the staff (including the Manager) were so friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone to stay here. We travelled with Libra Holidays and they were excellent. We had the upgraded package which included taxi transfers to and from the airport and a hire car. Everything arrived at the exact times stated (better service than others received from the bigger holiday companies)and we could not fault anything. We had a brilliant holiday and thanks to all staff at the Lindos Mare and Libra Holidays for makng it so.
Absolutely great!

Lindos Mare is an absolutely great hotel. We went there on our honeymoon and got a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite, which was a very big room to European standards! The pool has a nice size, and the whole hotel offers great views over a big bay below.
Service and food were excellent. The hotel manager was a hoot when he sang Happy Birthday in several different languages when a guest had a birthday.
We also used the spa for a one day package and treatments and service was excellent there as well.
The only disadvantage of the hotel is that if you don't have your own transportation there (rental car), then you can't go many places. Lindos is the only town in walking distance, but it's still half an hour away. There are buses to Rhodes town and Lindos though, several times a day.
Tip: the hotel is expensive (but still worth it!) in summer, but in the spring and in the autumn the hotel is a lot cheaper, and the weather is still good (sea water in spring is still cold though). We got a good deal for our stay in April.
Relaxing break

Just back from 10 wonderful days at this lovely hotel. It's unlike any hotel we have stayed at in the past, not a good choice if you dont like lifts! Quirky, I suppose, is a good discription. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The beach below the hotel is mostly sandy, although it is a dark sand so dont expect a golden beach. The water is warm and clear - the best I've swam in.

Lindo is beautiful. Went to Rhodes a couple of years ago and swore we would stop in Lindos on future occasions. It is really pretty with a good selection of bars and restaurants. I particularly liked the beach and sea as there are loads of fish to look at in the water. Take a snorkel!
Lindos is also the hottest place I have ever been. I'm sure that walking up to acropolis took years off my life but the view was worth it.
Have fun

My family and i were at the Lindos Bay Hotel for the first 2 weeks in July this Year. The Hotel rooms are pretty dated but spotlessly clean, the pool area and surroundings are nice, the food is personal choice but not too bad but definitely not for kids, the snacks are crap the drinks are disgusting unless you have a stomach of lead. But the one amazing thing it does have is a wonderful entertainment team, second to none !! they keep you going and are wonderful with the kids they make this hotel worth the stay. As for Lindos, it is one of the most beautiful friendly and welcoming places you will ever visit try out Kolossus bar, great staff and owner Minolis !! Somewhere great to eat is Agostinos and Caesars and the Lindian Indian does a great curry. You will love it.

Lindos is not gay, nor is the nightlife gay. That shouldn't stop you from enjoying the beauty of the town. When people say it 'hot' they mean it is usually way over 36C or 90F. It is quite a small town. Manoli (owner of Kolosus Bar and of a clifftop restaurant) passed away a couple years ago. He was the stoic and wise philosopher of the town for his entire life.
