Rhodes
"My holiday in Rhodes"
We arrived at The Blue Sky Hotel Rhodes Town, it was dark and couldn't see much. In the morning i opened the curtains and was blown away by the gorgeous view of the Aegean Sea and the huge liners making there way into the port. We got dressed and headed down for a quick breakfast and then headed out for a walk. It was very warm but there was quite a strong wind blowing. We walked into Rhodes town about a 30min walk if you take the coast route.
"Meet and Greet"
We walked back to hotel for the tour reps(Thomsons) meet and greet and he gave us loads of tips on what to be careful off. These were the African Ladies who want to shake our hand and then they don't let go till you buy a bracelet from them, the reps from another hotel who give you a scratch card and if you win they take you to hotel to pick up prize, you always win and if you go with them you are subjected to a time share talk. The other thing is when ordering a beer always ask for a small beer if you ask for a beer you will get a huge glass shaped like a boot which cost a fortune. We booked some excursions via the rep more expensive I know, but it meant getting picked up and dropped off at hotel in an air conditioned bus which was lovely after a busy day sightseeing.
"I loved Rhodes"
We had a great holiday so much so that we are going again this year but will be staying at another hotel that is nearer to the town and once again we booked with Thomsons this time we booked extra leg room on the flight the legroom is terrible especially when you are 5ft10 like me and 6ft like my husband. Cheers
