The Rhodes Island and its geography
by Fam.Rauca
To go on this island is a very good opportunity to get to know the Greek world.
There, one can learn all about country and people, from tradition to history.
With a rented moped or car, one can view the whole island.
Our accommodation was in Faliraki, a station with a splendid, 4 kilometres beach, 15 kilometres far from the capital.
We rented a scooter for three days, and we have done very beautiful trips.
First day, we drove from Faliraki, to Rodos City.
From Faliraki we came to Kallithea, a station at the sea, with thermal springs.
On the East coast, to a distance of 5 kilometres south of Rodos City we come to Koskinou.
Then, we applied for to Rodos city. The capital is in Northeast of the Island.
This city is an open air museum, a collection of old and new, from tradition and modern, from history and present.
Because we found the city so super, we came again after a few days there, with the bus.
Mythos
by Balam
Mythos beer was launched in Greece in 1997 and has gone from strength to strength. Mythos is produced from specially selected varieties of barley and hops, it is a lager with a rich head, blonde colour and a pleasant refreshing taste.

In the evening
by RuudGroeneveld about Crown Prince Pub
The Crown Prince Pub (CP) is a great place to go before you go to a disco or club at night. They serve a lot of fine beers and the best cocktails. Service is mixed Greek and Scandinavian (mostly Swedish). If you're there ask for Caroline (Swe). She's my friend and just the best waitress I've ever seen. You can tell I've said that. But I've to say that all the time I stayed there (and that's a lot) I've made great friends. No dress code.
By boat
by Christianne
We travelled by boat because of our car.
We travelled to Rodos with Blue Star I. The trip lasts around 11 hrs. However, don't forget to make reservation for a cabin. You need somewhere to sleep during the night.
We came back with the ship Marina of GA Ferries. The trip lasts around 22 hrs.
Comparing the two ships I have to say that I'll never travel again with GA Ferries.
The boat had a disco which I never visited, a swimming pool not in use,a separate lounge for us, the passengers of the A' class cabins but the trip was double and tiring and the boat doesn't provide the facilities of Blue Star I.
As for the price of the ticket, it was almost the same.
Consequently, if you have to travel from Pireas to Rodos or from Rodos to Pireas, prefer Blue Star Ferries.
