What a great hotel...The staff are wonderful, the food is gorgeous, plus you get a lot of choice, and last of all its in a great position!
I was in the all-inclusive bracket, which was very good! I admit, you can only get two alcholic drinks at a time, which is a bit rubbish, but i can see were there getting at with that rule. They serve drinks till midnight, which is when the entertainment stops.
At midnight, when the bar is closed in your hotel, i reccomend going to the colibri bar, accros from the main entrance to the hotel. Nikos is the manager, and he is a very nice, understanding person. They close at about 3, and it's a very cheap bar. Try it!
The entertainment is average, but the group that do it, try their best, and they are very nice people, they try and communicate with every person in the hotel. There are activities during the day, at least 5 a day. For Example, Volleyball, Gymnastics, Workout, Cocktail Acitivities, and Killer Pool etc etc...
I have written about a great hotel, i persuade you too try it, i will be going back very very soon, hope to see you there!

This was my splurge trip--we stayed in this very nice hotel in downtown Athens:) It was fantastic! There were very few guests at the time, it was quiet, they had great food, and you there was the most breathtaking view of the Acropolis from the roof at nite! Highly recommended!
Pistacios and Cafe Freddo with a view
by Callavetta about Hotel Electra Palace
I preface my review of the Hotel Electra Palace by saying that last year the hotel underwent a major refurbishment. I can only think that it must be really wonderful now because it was great in 2000.
We had hoped to stay at the Electra Palace for our entire stay in Athens but were not able to get reservations for the first few days. We did enjoy the lobby bar frequently while we weren't guests. We also discovered and fell in love with the rooftop bar. Not only is there a pretty pool but sitting on the rooftop, munching pistachios and drinking the beverage of my choice while the lights go on the Acropolis is an experience that will stay with me forever!
After a short sidetrip to Meteora and and Delphi, we returned to Athens and were able to check in to the Electra Palace. Our room was such an improvement over the previous hotel (priced and starred the same). Comfortable, airconditioned, and clean, we did not have a view room, but we were very satisfied. The view from the roof was enough for us. The hotel breakfast, included, was fantastic. The buffet included all kinds of fresh fruit as well as a machine that made fresh juice from the orange you deposited into the hopper. Every other type of breakfast items were available as well. This hotel is located right at the edge of the Plakka. It's a perfect location for walking everywhere; to the Plakka, to the Acropolis, the the famous Squares and shopping area.
The staff of the hotel is extremely helpful. We particularly appreciated Aristotle (yes, that is his name!) the barman who entertained us and gave us some great dining tips.
Right in a heart of Athens

Very nice clean hotel. One pool on top of it, one - in the basement. Sauna. Gym room. Nice breakfast room. Wonderful breakfast!
Service is good, too. But I would say, I would need more expencive clothes to have better service.
Rooms are not big though. Also I could not rid of the smell of a smoke in my room even though I had a room on non smokin floor.
Recently Renovated and Upgraded to 5 Star Category
by deecat about Electra Palace Hotel
When in Thessaloniki, we stayed in the Electra Palace Hotel and loved it.
It was built in 1972, and I learned that it was completely renovated in 2002. When we were there, it was a 4 star hotel; it is now a 5-star hotel.
The architectural style is Bysantine. It is located in and dominates over the Aristotelous Square which is the economical, cultural, and shopping heart of Thessaloniki.
There are 130 rooms and 8 suites that are all decorated in elegant neo-classical style.
The rooms are air-conditioned, have direct dial phones, satellite TV, mini bar, safety deposit box, hair dryer, ISDN connection, voice mail system, and alarm clock. 69 of the rooms have a great and undisturbed view of the lively square and the Thermaikos Gulf.
Non-smoking rooms are available.
The hotel has a coffee shop, English Bar, Mediterranean cuisine restaurant, pool bar and restaurant on the rooftop, health and spa club with an indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steambath, and massage room. The best thing about this hotel is its location, its excellent restaurant, and the well-equipped rooms.
Oh, yes, I loved being able to have a non-smoking room in Greece!

Lovely week at Electra Palace in September. Very close to beach. Comfortable, well-furnished rooms. Friendly staff created good atmosphere - we felt very welcome.
Excellent food - especially A la Carte Restaurant - all very good. Regards to Harris, Restaurant Manager, who does a fantastic job.
Looking forward to coming again!

I stayed at the Electra Palace hotel for my birthday. Found the place wonderful. Staff friendly enough but not overly (usually when they try too hard it becomes a bit fake!) Food was lovely and a great selection every day. Was actually very sad going home from this holiday - best view from my balcony, could see mainland Turkey over the sea.

We enjoyed our holiday at the electra palace so much that my family and I are returning again next week with some friends who we recommended it too without any doubt. The food was excellent and the rooms very clean. Staff very hospitable and the hotel is located practically on the shingle beach and only a short taxi ride from rhodes town. We dont normally return to the same place twice but couldnt resist going again. It cant come quick enough ......

Hi have you ever been to trianda

I've been to Trianda a couple of times, but not since my early teens.
I stayed at the Electra Palace Hotel (located next to the pebbly beach) which was very nice.
The town was quite big even then, but I'm sure it'll have grown even further since.
Be sure to visit Rhodes Town (the old part of town is really interesting) and Lindos (a great beach and an acropolis) while you're in Rhodes.
Have a great trip!

Hi jonathan
How far was it from trinda to rhodes town?
cheers jade

Hi again, Jade
It's not very far from Trianda to Rhodes Town.....about 10-15km (a 10 minute drive).
If you've got a map of Rhodes you'll see that Rhodes Town is on the northern tip of the island, while Trianda (shown on some maps as Ialyssos) is on the north west coast.
Lindos is over an hour's drive from Trianda.
