Esperides beach hotel is a very good choice. I recommend it for families with children. It has a nice beach, very good swimming pools and a great animation team. Animation team was the best. They have very good shows and disco for children. There are plenty of additional attractions for the kids including a carousel and water slides. Food needs some improvement. Overall a good choice for the vacation stay. I would stay there again
Just arrived back from The Esperides Beach Hotel in Kalithea and am glad to get home.Hotel is marketed as a family hotel but had many single sex teenage groups.Their idea of fun seemed to include making a lot of noise and using the windows as lavatories.At 4.30am one day we were woken by the fire alarm.I was angered to see people just wandering around corridors,standing on their balconies or sitting in reception as the staff on duty were offering no direction.they were even allowig guests back into the hotel and use the lifts before any all clear was given.
Apart from the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful.The food was the general hotel fare.If you need shade with your sun lounger you will need to be up at 6am.
As you may guess I would not go back to this hotel again
Having just arrived back from the holiday at Esperides beach hotel, I just needed to say that it was a great two week holiday. The staff were great, the food was good and varied, the rooms spotless and enough pools for everyone. The animation team were out of this world and worked their socks off for the whole of the two weeks. My family and I had a fabulous holiday(my three children did not what to leave. Girls aged 12, 9 and boy aged 4) The photos on the hotels web site do not do the hotel justice. Will go again!!!!!
What a fantastic hotel, so lets start with the bad points. There isn't any, a few things that could be inproved, like the lunch cause its a bit sameish every day but nothing that you couldn't eat and maybe the beach, only cause its shingled not sandy but it didn't spoil are hol. This hotel has everything you want for yourself and your kids, 2 waterslides, 2 kids pools, bumper cars, bobby horses, bounsey castle, slides your kids will never get boared here. The hotel itself is spotless, there is always cleaners around from the crack of dawn right through the day. The animation team are brill, especially francesca, paul and lorenzo they get you involved in everything all through the day. They all do this dance about noon everyday (except thursday, there day off) which is excellent and then they all jump in the pool afterwards. There are two main pools which are quite big 5 bars which is handy cause its all inclusive, say hi to tony the bar man in the bottom pool bar, i never had to wait for a drink ever, the evening entertainment was great, they work very hard to do good shows. Food is good and there is always a good choice at dinner, service for drinks is excellent. There are lots of water sports to do on the beach, i went power gliding for the first time, what an experience that was, and only 25 euros for about 15 mins, see steve on the beach hes very good and will even take you for a spin on his speed boat if you ask him. The pedlos are free and you can go very far out or down the coast if you want. Rooms are good with fridge, tv, air con, bathroom, we had a sea view in the main building and what a view it is. All in all it was a fantastic holiday and would take my wife and 3 year old son back there anytime, i can go on all day about this place but go there yourself and find out how good it really is.
Just got back from Rhodes. Fantastic Place! Great people! Hotel was beautiful, everything we needed for our kids, clean and tidy! (Apart from the random dog that weeed in the baby pool! Not nice) Staff freindly, Animation team was great during the day but lacklustre in the evening, very repetitive! Food was awful! Bland and uninteresting, nothing for kids but spag. bol. ! Had to eat out a few times just for a change! Too many germans as well, My husband had to get up at 5am to get decent sunbeds! Beach was lovely and close, Had a fantastic time apart from the food and the germans the place is excellent! wouldn't go back though!
Excellent holiday, had a really great time! The hotel was spotlessly clean, food excelllent and the staff superb! We have stayed in quite a few hotels within the Med / Red Sea area and I can honestly say this was one of the best. For those with children I would say that this hotel is a must, so much for them to do. Animation Team excellent and bar staff quick and superb (for adults I should add!!).
Rhodes Old Town definitely worth a visit and I can recommend Zizi's restaurant (not part of the UK group!).
To summarise, I can really recommend this hotel, just wish we had a week longer .....
Stayed at this hotel first 2 weeks of June with hubby and 2 kids aged 11 and 6. Very impressed with hotel itself. Good room with loads of storage space. Like the idea of the sliding doors between kids bunkbed and our beds. Hotel is spotless. Cleaners cleaning up constantly even down on the beach. We thought food was very good and there was something for everyone to choose from. Good choice of drinks for all inclusive menu too. Loads to keep the kids occupied with 2 swimming pools and 2 smaller pools for the litte ones also 2 water slides. Kids get popcorn and candy floss each day from approx 4pm till 8pm in the kids section which has bumper cars,carousel and play area. Only downside to this hotel and the whole resort itself is the Germans! Don't think there were any left in Germany they were all in Rhodes. Trying to get a sunbed is a nightmare. If you don't get one by 8am forget it!! You may be luckier if you leave it till after lunch when some people go off for the afternoon. Although there were no real problems with the people themselves the main problem for us was the children having no-one to play with (until week 2 when my 11 yr old found another lonely English girl to pal up with) as all the other kids spoke German! Kids club and entertainment team was run by predominantly German and Italian (also quite a few Italians in hotel)speakers but to be fair they did speak good English. Mini disco absolutely awful - dreadful repetetive songs which the Germans seemed to love but my 2 hated! That apart we would defo go back to this hotel but would be inclined to go with friends or family so the kids had someone to enjoy all the facilities this hotel has on offer with. Would defo recommend it for families. Weather was gorgeous but it can get very windy. We a hired a car for week and went to numerous places. We went 5 yrs ago and found a lovely secluded beach then which we were delighted to find was still as peaceful today. Lindos is lovely but a nightmare with all the coach parties. Was so busy on day we went we stayed for all of an hour and then beat a hasty retreat. The driving in Rhodes is very dodgy. Be warned the speed they travel at and the places they overtake takes your breath away at times. If you are a nervous driver - don't bother! All in all a great 2 weeks holiday thoroughly enjoyed by all.
So what if the Germans take the sunbeds, and the kids entertainment is repetative, my 10 year old loved it, "free everything "as he says. Hotel is spotless, staff very friendly, try a little Greek with them and they are your new best friend. Entertainment was very good and the kids/adult animacion team were superb. The food was awesome, so much and for so many cultures as well. I only went for a week but had I had known it was this good I would have gone for two, no worries. 10/10
Just got back from a week at Hotel,couldn't fault anything.Travelled with 2 children 4 and 6 who had a great time.
If you so desired you could eat and drink all day and the food was very good - lots of choice.
The animacion team were very good and worked very hard.
The children loved the water slides ,dodgems and roundabouts all included in the price.
Hotel very clean .
At the time we went there was a mixture of nationalities however seemed mainly german .
The sea very clear ,beach shingley and sea drops in depth very quickly so keep an eye on the kids.
If you are going to this hotel you cannot fail to have a good time- would recommend.
we went on our Honeymoon and fully expected the numbers of kids, which was never a problem. The Hotel is massive, and full to bursting, there are 7 floors and id say over 2000 people in the hotel, percentage wise about 45 % German, 50% Italian and the rest Mixed. Whilst we had Such a superb Holiday, it wasnt down to this hotel at all. We found we had to eat out every night as the food was the same from Dinner time. I have always stayed All Inclusive and its always been a pleasure, here unfortunatley, the drinks they give you are seriously bad. Every spirit tastes the same and every drink apart from the dingy 70's stlye bar inside is served in paper cups!! The Dinner Hall is like a mad free for all, there are ques for the buffet, which never go down, which is due to the foreign majority of guests not waiting and just helping themselves, it was disgusting. Every day there was the sameish foods, nice food granted, but always the same.
The reception staff are very rude indeed, and they really couldnt give a monkeys about you, there were none of the promises they made at the time of booking for honeymooners, and when i asked they didnt want to know.
Also, the hotel goes long periods without ANY hot water, and normally around 5-8pm when you are getting ready, so a cold shower every night!!
My advice for this hotel is avoid if possible.
