The hotel was built during the Italian occupation and it is an impressive building broken up into smaller units.Michele Petraco was the architect who designed the building in early 1920.
The contemporary form is product of the changes made to the hotel during the italian facism starting in 1936.
At the Hotel des Roses is housed the Casino of Rodos.
