Relax and be lazy at Kiotari

If you want a relaxing and lazy hoilday then this is for you. Food was very good, lots of variety every day. Staff were excellent. Animation team do not get paid enough for what they do, they were amazing. Lots for every one to do if you want it. Beach not sand its shingle but hey we are not beach people. There was also a very good range of watersports available on the beach. Amenities/bar/sunbeds on beach looked very good. I would definately recommend this hotel to couples and families and we would go back to it. All aspects of the complex are well maintained, clean and tidy. Staff really do take pride in their jobs. Dont be put off by transfer time in the brochure saying over two hours, it never is, only took 50mins at most. The only thing i think will put people off is that it is in the middle of nowhere (which suited us) but there is a very good local bus service (and its on time) or First Choice do lots of trips to different parts of the island. You can hire a car from the hotel which we would do if we went again. But in my opinion if you go to somewhere out of the way that is all inclusive with all amenities on your complex you dont go there to trip out and about.

Unique Quality: Pools were very nice. Cleaned every morning. Would pay extra next time to have a sea view. I would say the most outstanding feature of the complex has got to be the Animation Team, they really made our holiday both for the adults and children of our party. They work so hard and are so friendly. The second most outstanding thing has got to be the other staff they really cant do enough for you. You will miss out on a very good holiday if you dont go to Kiotari Bay Hotel. I read the usual holiday reviews and some were quite nasty which got me worried but i worried in vain and really cant think that the moaners had gone to the same hotel.

Lovely All inclusive hotel!

My stay here was lovely, staff great, food great, everywhere was clean and tidy. The hotel has everything you could need, so unless you really want to, you have no real need to venture out, unless to do some sightseeing.
Please read my rhode travel page thing to find out more on this hotel, too much to say about it. lol

I would definately recommend this to families or people wanting to relax and have fun.

Unique Quality: This Hotel has 7-8 pools plus and indoor heated pool, lovely views, it's own strtch of beach... night time entertainment plus activities going on all through the day. lovely food all day long

More about Kiotari Bay

Rhodes Island

by Kutie_Uk

"The Island Itself"

The island of Rhodes is full of history, great if you love travelling for that reason. If you get out of the main town of rhodes the scenery is beautiful and there are quite a few lovely hotels as well. With easily accessable taxi's, it's easy to get around. (busses are not that reliable i'm affraid).
The main resorts of Rhodes, Falaraki, Lindos, Lardos, Pefkos etc are really nice to visit, you can go on donkey rides up montains, visit water springs, get lost in tunnels... great fun. lol Falaraki has a really big water park that's great fun for all the family, but be warned, there are some pretty high slides there!!

"Shopping"

Shopping on the island can be one of the other... plentiful if you are by the main towns, or if like me you're a little more remote, like in Kiotari then it's a lot harder to find shops... Be sure to visit the old town... it's very quaint there, and the buildings are history in itself and plenty of bargains can be had here.
If you prefer the more "normal" type of shopping, then new rhodes town is best, but it's right outside old rhodes town, if you have time, visit them both!

"Where I stayed"

I Stayed at the kiotari bay hotel miraluna for a week... the area was very, very remote, but lovely scenery. The hotel itself was all inclusive, which was a good job really, nearest shops for anything was a good 30-40min walk.
The hotel had about 7-8 pools, and a heated indoor pool, complex was very clean and we never had a problem with the food, it was always hot and they kept it on rotation and kept temp checks.
Mainly cater for the english, italians and Germans, but each had kids clubs and eve entertainment, brits at ampi theatre, Italians on roof bar and german were by the pool (i think)
Only one pay bar, and that was open from 6pm - 2am and avarage price for drinks.
The staff were all very friendly, polite and always had a smile.
The complex is really big and they're still building, but you don't hear much of the noise, and it's not around the main complex.
If you want to hire a car, do it from the german lady at the hotel.... She charges around 60 euros for 3 days and they're good cars as well, you will get hit up in the air if you do it from home... Like i did!
The entertainment is fantastic by the way... (forgot to mention. lol) The animation team put on some really good and funny shows and if you go here, please please see the ladies night show, you will be in stitches! it's very funny.
If you're after more nightlife then visit falaraki or rhodes town, they're the 2 best places.

If you would like any more info, please feel free to ask.
