It is well worth a visit when in Rhodes, Lindos is very picturesque and lots of traditional houses, tavernas, fancy goods etc. However it is very touristy and you can expect to pay above the odds for souveniers etc. In daytime the scenery in and around lindos is lovely and at night it is good for a meal in one of the many rooftop restuarants there. Parking was a nightmare and that was september, so I imagine the hieght of season is horrendous.

Impressive privately owned villa

I had always previously visited Rhodes on package holidays. However, for my most recent trip, I decided to arrange the accommodation myself. I was a bit nervous about doing so, but it worked out very well. Via the internet I found a villa that is privately owned by a British lady. Situated in the town of Lindos, the villa is very large and beautifully decorated. The only downside is that it took quite a long time to reach from the airport. The villa is fully air-conditioned and has its own pool.

These apartments are fairly basic as most in Greece are but the fantastic views out to sea and pool which is very unique more than make up for it. The property is situated up a very steep drive way, but it helps burn off all those holiday pounds! The main street in pefkos is about a 3 minute walk away with a great selection of restaurants & bars, far enough to be away from the noise of the bars. For a livlier nightlife Lindos is 10 minutes in a Taxi. For a quieter night Lardos is about 15 mins away & more traditional. Pefkos seems to suit everyone as there are quite a few bars without being OTT, lovely restaurants with fantastic food for a very reasonable price & the beach is nice & sandy.
The pool bar does breakfast & lunch with a mix of english & greek food, the Gyros is one of the best I've ever had. At night it is a bar which does good cocktails and once a week there is Karaoke which was very ammusing!
I would recommend requesting a room on the top floors as we were told the ones under the pool get very hot at night.
I would definatly return here.

We booked this hotel on the internet.

The description and reports are accurate.

The hotel is built into a hill leading down to a beach and is somewhat unusual in design.

There are about 125 bedrooms the majority with stunnng views across the bay the furthest point being about 12 kilometers away. The hotel faces about north.

The staff at this hotel are excellent. Nothiing appears to be too much trouble. They are so good that they paper over the minor cracks that you might find at this hotel.
The islanders are equally very hospitable and we had some wonderful welcomes, particularly when you get off the tourist routes.

We stayed at the Lindos from the 3 - 17 May 2006. The weather during the day averaged 21 -22c. At night it was windy and a sweater or wrap is adviseable at this time of year.

The Maitre D, Michalis missed his vocation, he should have been a Company Sergeant Major in the Brigade of Guards (UK) He runs the restaurants with rod of iron but with great Greek chalm.

Our room was very comfortable and the food, whilst predominately themed Greek was of a very good standard but by the end of our hols we didn't want to see anymore feta or any more breakfasts.

A very good hotel in our view. Good value for money

Wonderful holiday

This is a lovely hotel with excellent staff. The rooms are clean but a little old fashioned. We upgraded to a junior suite and it was ok but nothing spectacular. Be prepared to walk up lots and lots of steps as the hotel is built into the side of a hill. The pool area is lovely and the poolbar staff great. The restaurant and its manager Michalis were wonderful with lots of options for food to eat. The drinks are expensive in the hotel but the setting is beautiful and the views spectacular. Would go back as Lindos itself is lovely and the people are really friendly. Would recommend the taxi to st pauls bay rather than the beach at the hotel, its absolutely beautiful there. Definately go into Lindos in the evening as the drinks are cheaper and the atmosphere is great. Expect to pay 7 euro to the square (at the top of lindos) and 5 euro back. Would recommend this hotel to others.

dream holiday

What can i say, apart from my husband and i didnt want return home. The location is breath taking, especially our wedding reception which was over looking the beach. We had a junior suite which was really spacious and the balcony too. All the staff were so friendly and remembered everybodys name. The pool is fantastic, with proper covered sunbeds and theres a decking area too. Whats good is if you want to swap your evening meal to lunch time you can, we found it quite nice to go into lindos a couple of times instead. The food was nice but it can get a bit crowded. Chilling out in the spa was really relaxing and if you are getting married they do wedding packages so you can be pampered which was great. Overall the hotel is amazing and is just a very short taxi ride into lindos itself.

Spent a very enjoyable 2 weeks in Rhodes staying at the Daniel Hotel in Kalathos. Seems to be a popular place for weddings as ended up at a wedding reception and a stag night whilst there.
