I DID NOT STAY HERE THIS YEAR,BUT DID VISIT THEM TO ASK ABOUT TARIFFS FOR NEXT YEAR .I DO INTEND TO RETURN TO PEFKOS NEXT SPRING.
I WAS SHOWN AROUND BY A CHARMING LADY AND TOOK THE PICTURE SHOWN BELOW.
THE PRICES FOR 2014 ARE APROX 125 TO 220 EURO PER PERSON PER WEEK,THIS DEPENDS ON THE SEASON.
A VERY CENTRAL SPOT NO MORE THAN FIVE OR SIX MINS FROM ANYWHERE IN THE RESORT.
THE LIA STUDIOS ARE VERY PLESENT SITUATED ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF PEFKOS,
THEY HAVE A GOOD VANTAGE OVER THE RESORT,AND ARE LESS THAN 10 MINS FROM THE BEACH AND CENTRE.
THE ACCOMMODATION IS WHAT I THINK CAN BE SAID TO BE TYPICAL OF MOST STUDIOS IN GREECE.
THE GOOD THING HERE IS THAT ROAD NOISE IS NOT HEARD,AND THE VIEWS ARE GREAT,WITH THE SUNSETS BEING LOVERLY.
THRE IS NO POOL ,BUT THERE IS 2 THAT CAN BE USED ,1 IN FRONT OF THE LIA AT THE THE ALAXIS TAVERNA,OR NEXT DOOR 100 YARDS IS THE FINAS.
The Boutique 5 is an adult only luxury (for Greek terms) resort. The hotel and its rooms are tastefully designed. A wonderful place to relax.
Half of the 44 rooms have private pools.
These apartments are set in a lovely location for a holiday on the island of Rhodes, being just a few minutes walk to the sandy beach with crystal clear water. The accommodation is spacious, clean with plenty of wardrobe and draw space.Towels are changed daily and sheets twice weekly, good size en suite with powerful shower.Rooms in block A&B on the upper floors have good sea views.Plenty of good tavernas and bars within a 15 minute walk.Extras in hotel A/C 9.50 euros/day,safe 23 euros/week.
Two sunbeds +1 sunshade= 8 euros, payable on the beach.
Large swimming pool with swim up bar and plenty of sunbeds.Well stocked supermarket close by where you can find almost everything you require.
I stayed in the Florida Hotel for a week, and I would gladly stay there again if I go back to Rodos. I recommend this hotel to everyone. Normally I am wary about staying in a hotel with less than three stars (this one has two stars), but the room was very nice, organized, and clean. Every evening when we came back from sightseeing our room was cleaned and we had fresh sheets and towels. We left things like money, etc. in the room's safe all week without any problems. The rooms have air-conditioning, but they also have a balcony with screens/mosquito netting, so you can leave the door open at night if you like. The building is located on a small side street, so it's very quiet at night. The neighborhood is very safe also. The hotel owner was extremely helpful...she gave us lots of maps and information about what to visit and when, which restaurants to try, and where we could go to buy authentic foodstuffs. Also, the location is excellent, since it is about 5 or 10 minutes walking distance away from the beach, old town, many good restaurants, and the harbor. I would definitely stay here again!
This hotel has a great location within walking distance of the beach, the best restaurants, old town, and the harbor. It is very quiet at night and the room rates are good.
Following our excellent visit at the Rodos Palladium in 2007 (see my previous post) we decided to give a try to the Sun Beach Resort Complex which also belongs to the Harmony Resorts group.
We found this resort to be a hidden gem as our kids had the time of their lives! The term "family-friendly" is probably not enought for Sun Beach which seems to have built its philosophy and programme around the most important thing: our children.
We booked a kids suite which is basically a self catering apartment geared with numerous facilities for the kids; even a playstation 2 and a separate tv!
There are many facilities in the resort both for parents and children alike. There are at least 5 pools in the complex or at least those are the ones we saw during our stay. A Snack bar, a la carte restaurant (the lovely Dionisos), beach bar you name it. Evening entertainment was a very nice start to our evening followed by Gina's company at the Ialyssos bar who was absolutely fantastic and a great lough too.
Our kids were happily busy in the supervised kids club or in the 2 playgrounds found in the complex . There are also shows and entertainment specifically for the kids before dinner time.
The complex also has several sports facilities but I was particularly amazed with the five aside football court (I love football despite my age :)
Trianta area has many shops and local tavernas and proved to be a very nice resort. Filerimos is also worth visiting and you will have a chance to see the famous "Cross". The hotel is very near (actually between) the airport and Rhodes, 10 minutes either side (give or take).
Overall, we had a very nice and relaxing stay and the atmosphere here is as such: easy going, friendly and funny. There is nothing better in a holiday than to know that your little ones are in safe hands and they are really happy with the holiday while you can sit back and relax a change.
PS: Sun Beach is a complex and consists of 2 buildings: the Aparthotel which is beachfront and the Resort hotel which is right in the opposite direction separated by a small road.
Great place for Kids with numerous facilities and supervised kids club,
We stayed in this fabulous hotel back in 2007 following a reccommendation of a close friend (booked through Thomsons).
Rodos Palladium is a top notch hotel right on the beatiful beach of Kalithea combining all elements that you could wish for from a resort. No wonder why it has so many awards in its portfolio. Having said that it is also advertised as the most awarded hotel in the island!
What to expect? A massive island style swimming pool, very nice bars (pool bar in the middle of the pool and beach bar), a LOT of leisure facilities such as tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, games room, even a bridge room! There is also a wellness center offering various treatments at reasonable prices, an indoor heated pool as well as a gym.
Daily animation is avialable on the hotel for those who are fond of this type of thing and good entertainment shows suitbale for all ages held in the stage area near the pool.
If you are considering booking this hotel, go for a superior room as it is well worth the extra money.
Rhodes is 15 - 20 minutes on bus and there are several of them passing by every half an hour outside the hotel's entrace.
Right on the beach, TOP service and very friendly staff, nice rooms overlooking the sea, very good cuisine especially the sea food at the a la carte restaurant, a lot of sports facilities and nice entertaiment team with dialy shows
If you are looking to stay in a very nice, modern and luxury hotel in Rhodes, then I would strongly suggest staying at the Elysium Resort & Spa in Kalithea.
The hotel has very tastefully decorated rooms and for those that need extra pumpering it offers the Elite club that we stayed in. The elite club is their executive floors and there are several extra amenities offered - Highly reccommended. If you are an elite member, do NOT miss the breakfast in the rooftop cafe overlooking the beach; very difficult to describe this feeling!
You will also be pleasantly surprised with the food served in the hotel which is top class and the rest of the leisure facilities offered. Great lagoon style pool to relax, a very nice beach bar to have your cocktail and free sunbeds and parasols for inhouse guests :)
Their spa is also highly reccommended and powered by ESPA, so if you are into massage and treatments then pop in to give it a try (wify did).
Bear in mind this is an excellent resort to relax and enjoy yourself and is not so much entertainment orientated something that we were really fond of.
The resort is close to the airport (20 - 25 minutes transfer time) and between Rhodes City and Faliraki with busses running every day towards both directions (You can get to Rhodes in 15 -20 minutes or Faliraki in 5 minutes or continue towards Lindos).
We absolutely loved this resort!
Beachfront, Breathtaking views from panoramic cafe and restaurant, Elite executive floors offering free light snacks, alchoholic and non alcoholic beverages throughout the day, luxury rooms, Free sunbeds, really nice stafff and service
very good location at the top of rhodos beach - with access to the windy western side and to the more calm eastern side
nice breakfast-buffet but sometimes a bit crowded
nice rooms with seaview
nice hotel complexes , beautiful rooms, friendly service
good quiet location
lot of entertainment at hotel and near hotel
unfortunately very stoney beach, very windy
I have stayed in this Pension on my first trip to Rhodes. I must say it has all basic standards for a 1 star hotel. You even have a nice little swimming pool. The rooms are without aircondition, and tv, but they are clean. The owners are grumpy greeks but if you try to talk a bit with them they warm up. The hotel is next to a church and you walk like 5 minutes to the beach. Nightlife of Faliraki aka Bar Street also close. For all who don't stay in their hotel rooms all day :)
Cheap and clean!
This is a nice small family run Hotel Apartment Complex. It is located outside the tourist area on a hill top with a beautiful view (in sunset direction). It has a big garden area even with own chicken and turkeys. Playgrounds for kids, enough parking (rental car is a must) Nice big pool with deck chairs, sun umbrellas. Snack bar next to pool. Where they serve dinner as well on a pre order basis (Let them know in the morning that you want to eat. They rotate the typical Greek meals and it was always delicious).
The apartments are quite big with a big kitchen area and bathroom with bath tub. They get cleaned every third day. The staff is very helpful.
As it is a bit exposed it can be a bit windy.
We liked the location and the small familiar atmosphere.
The Kyriakos Studios are incredibly basic but fine (I'm talking no pool and no reception - you can "borrow" a reception to collect your keys etc down the road and I believe we could use another hotels pool but it was a bit of a trek so just stuck to the beach).
Our studio had a double bed, single bed, small kitchen area and a shower room. The front door opened onto a courtyard we shared with several other apartments. The rooms are clean, mainly coz the maid kept bustling in very early so if you like a lie in and your luxuries don't bother but if you're on a budget and more interested in what the island has to offer rather than your hotel then these apartments are just fine!
The hotel has 179 rooms with their bath or shower, direct phone line, radio, safe and at least half of them sea view.
They also have A/C, hair dryer, satellite TV, mini bar and music in the bathroom.
There is also a restaurant privoding breakfast and dinner, swimming pool with jacuzzi, pool bar, mini market and souvenir shop.
My family have been going to this hotel since 1983, only eight months after its opening, and I have been staying here since i was born. It is a lovely hotel, based around a main building, with the reception, resteraunt and bar, and several rooms above, the rest of the hotel is made up of several small buildings, centered around the large pool, snack bar and sunbathing area.
The rooms are very comfortable, and all have televisions, dvd players, air conditioning and frdges (both at an extra charge). Dinner, should you opt for it, is a set meal which changes every day, and breakfast is a continental buffet.
It is about fifteen minutes walk from Afandou beach, and about 20 minutes walk from the village centre, with its many bars and shops.
If visiting the center of the village at night, it is always best to take a taxi back, and the roads, especially the little short cuts, are poorly lit.
However, in 2007 the hotel was rented by an Italian tour company, as with many hotels on the Island. It is still a nice place to visit, however, and the snack bar and pool area is open to the public.
As well as the marvelous features listed above, the previous owner of the hotel kept animals in a large enclosure near the sunbathing area, including ostriches, emus, deer, sheep, chickens and monkeys. It is sometimes fascinating to watch the animals, and you can count on the cockrels to be your alarm clock for breakfast in the morning!
