has anyone stayed at the helena christina hotel/apartments on rhodes island and if so what was your stay like. I have been unable to find any reviews on this hotel just their own website.

There is a usefull map located in the centre of the town which tells you exactly where you are, we found this very usefull because all the little streets inside the walled town look almost the same and you don't want to be going round in circles do you
This is another long beach we noticed on the way to
Haraki which was much bigger and looked even quieter- barely a soul that we could see. This was on the right hand side of the road from where the bus stops for Haraki.
Depending on your means of travel. Rental cars can be a bit small (Fiat Panda like) Our baby buggy just barely fit. Multilayer clothes More or less everything available Camping officially not allowed. However we saw some tents and outdoor stores. Bring a flash light. Power outages seem pretty common!
There are many Ceramics Shops on the way from Rhodes City to Faliraki. As most tourist agencies take people there, the prices are pretty high. I'll advise seeing it anyway as these crafts are really beautiful.
My family and I took a day-cruise to Lindos. The best way to get up the mountian and into the center of town is by donkey. It is about 5 euro per person and convienient when it is a very hot day. I also noticed that those who did decide to go by foot were constantly trying to side-step piles of dung. Not fun.
