Pay attention to little gardens in Old Town
by sigthor_egle
While walking in the Old Town our curious nose led us to look in everywhere where the door was open and for our nice surprise we got a glimpse on those very beautiful small gardens that are hidden behind huge medieval walls. This was without a doubt the nicest surprises in the Old Town and we recommend for you to do it without interupting privacy of locals. Like the expression says "curiosity killed a cat" and we felt close to that as in one of those small gardens we met a huge angry dog chained to a tree. :)
Other monuments in Mandraki Harbour

The Mandraki Harbour is a place where are there many monuments, created in honour of the military forces of the land, or of the religious personalities that lived here, in this region.
Here, I made a few photos of some of them.
Best Choice of Greek Dishes
by sandysmith about Romeo's Garden Restaurant
A large restaurant in a beautiful 500 year old restored building with upper and lower terraces. Extensive menu of Greek and international dishes to choose from - some exclusive to this restaurant. Live greek music played here on the lower part of the restaurant. Oh and the cats are pretty here too and enjoy watching you eat! Very popular restaurant - may have to book in high season. Excellent service.
They have a sister restaurant in the old town too - Rustico's where we enjoyed a lunch of meatballs one day. Delicious Lamb Kleftico and Stamna - veal in cheese and wine sauce - yummy!
The Wall Gates of the Ancient City
by Fam.Rauca
The entrance into the inside of the old city of Rodos, one can make through the eleven gates of the walls.
These gates make the connection between the two sections of the city: the Ancient city and the new city of Rodos.
The architectural style of the construction of the gates is different from one to another, as the result of the time period of the built and of the constructors.
You can make a round stroll along the old walls, going through the gates, and admiring the superb constructions.

The Gate of St.Catherine
by Fam.Rauca
The gate is situated at the beginning of Emborio Harbour and the Italian sector of the town.
This gate is also called “The Wind Mills Gate”, from the two windmills, which are there near the gate.
Unfortunately, I have not got a good image of the gate, but I made a few photos into this region.
