Travel Tips for Rodos (City)
The "Sound and Light" garden.
This nice garden is located near the Nea Agora (the new market). It's a place where you can spend some time resting a bit after a long walk.
This is the place where the Sound and Light show takes place in the evening. This show is about the history of the island, without actors, but with lights, music and sounds. I didn't attend to this show, but I'd like to do it next time I visit Rhodes.
The City Hall of Rhodes City
The City Hall is situated on the Elefterias Boulevard.
It is an imposing edifice, built by the Italians.
The stone façade of the edifice is directly in front of the Elefterias Square, and the Church of the Annunciation.
internet cafe + snack bar = great place to relax!!
This cafe has great location, right in the middle of the Old Town of Rhodes. They have internet, great coffee, fresh orange juice and very nice owner.
We came here every day to relax and check our e-mail.
Early in the morning we went for Faliraki, North-east of Rhodos. This is one of the best organized beaches and you'll find the Bay of Kathara Beach, located next to the small fishing harbour. It is the quietest part ...
It was here where we could start some photographs without being disturbed by touristing passers-by. So we could do some strings and, parts of swimming-suit that would awake some erotic feelings with passers-by ... The effect of the grey beach-rocks invigorated the sensuality of woman's curves and it look absolutely beautiful !!!
Kalithea is the beach where many locals like to gather every day. The attraction is partly the sort distance from Rhodes town, partly the glamour of the magnificent Baths built here by the Italians (no longer in operation), as well as the obvious delights of mezedes and the tiny inlets and coves with their sculptured rocks and clear green water. Especially outside the high season, this is the favourite spot for local people looking for a quick swim. However, You should not confuse it with the minibeach below the Baths, which is full of visitors who come in little boats from Rhodes town to admire the amazing facilities of the Baths, currently under renovation. Once you have visited the Baths, drive on towards Faliraki and take the first dirt track to the left. Then, by following the signs guiding you to the various small eating holes in the area, you will reach a series of pine-covered bays and coves, with stone pools and rocks you can dive from (be careful: the sea is deep here, you need to be a good swimmer). This is the place the locals refer to when they say "let's go for a swim at Kalithea". Each of the little coves has sun beds for hire, and its own small restaurant, which usually lends its name to the beach itself.
