Hotel Fiona

If you imagine a Greek pension as a place where to rest in peace, without television in room, with basic but clean room, a big full Greek breakfast in which Greek yogurth and honey dont miss and where to enjoy of a beautiful and breathtaking view on fisherman's harbour, hotel Fiona is THE place. It is run by an old and helpful couple (Michails and Fiona); conversation is not always easy in English (first time we had some problems in understanding; the second time, after 5 years, we realized Michails can speak Italian much more better than English) but their kindness recovers such a little "spot".
The location is in Chorio, the upper part of Symi. Coming with the ferry with the luggage, I definitely suggest you to take a taxi although you are good at hiking. For the rest of the stay, consider at least 10-15 minutes of a path FULL OF STAIRS down to the harbour and UP to the hotel. If you have kids with trolley-chart, it could be a nightmare. But if you dont and in good health, it can be a good solution in order not to put on weight because of muossaka, suvlaki and ouzo.
