After we were stuck in the fog and could not leave the island, we faced difficulties in finding the place to stay as almost all places were fully booked. The fog had kept people in the island for 2 days already. People in Alderney are extremely friendly. Finally we managed to get a booking to this nice place.
It was the bed and breakfast type of place. The couple who met us and who runs the place were very polite, warm and friendly and although being a bit sad as we could not leave the island according to our plan and the investigation of Guernsey was postponed, our stay in the place was very nice.
We had the room upstairs next to what was a nice small lounge with a balcony overlooking pretty garden. At our arrival we were greeted by Lisa and Trevor, very nice people who run the house. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Service was wonderful. People were very friendly. Breakfast was great. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Maison Bourgage.
