Been to Kyle of Lochalsh on 23 Dec.Finding the accommodation was so difficult because all B&B closed. Only Kyle of Lochalsh hotel was running. Quiet at that time and could get the room with the most beautiful view. Cost £60 for double room with bathroom and breakfast.

Most Americans don't know how easy it is to camp in Europe. It is not only a cheap way to travel, but you meet a different type of people than in the hotels. Most of the campgrounds have showers, stores, and places toeat. They are also located near to attractions. For the 13 months I was there I spent about $1500 to camp.
    $10 to $15 per day

there is no shortage of Accomodation in Europe, but planning well ahead and book when pos..Europe is one of the most sought after Holiday places
Campgrounds often packed and quite pricy, but very high standard. book in advance if possible...after 5pm it is very risky to just turn up on a Campgrounds gates and wanna find space for the nite

Who cares about acommodations? LOL I would sleep on top of the Acropolis if they would let me. They didnt, and I had to stay at one of the 100's of pensions surrounding it.

There are literally 100s of 1,000s of bed and breakfasts and hostels in Europe.

This came from a man who hand made statues and i bought it because it reminds me of the great nile cruise i went on.It is in my livingroom and when ever i see it,great memories come flooding back. The men who were carving these statues were blind and it was not very pleasant.I dont know whether they were blind from carving them or blind before and given the job after.

  • I recommend staying at independent youth hostels.
They are always comparable to HI hostels...usually anywhere from $11 to $20 a night.

You could skip buying a Hosteling International card and just stay in independent hostels everywhere. I shelled out $20 for a HI card but only used it once--and I would have rather stayed at an independent hostel. I know some independent hostels can be gross or dirty, but there are just as many that are clean and fun. Why spend money you don't have to? I guess the only benefit is that it gives you some options if you run into full hostels everywhere. If you are going during the summer (especially August), I would book in advance anywhere you can find a room because it's always busy around then.
