The Csaba Sausage Festival organised every autumn in Békéscsaba enticing workers of the food industry, restaurants, and even well-known Hungarian politicians to grab the sausage filler. The festival takes place in the Town Sports Hall of Békéscsaba, Gyulai út. In the competition held during the festival more than one hundred teams will be making sausages, and once they are fried and the panel of judges announced the winners, they will also eat them all. In addition, folklore programmes, food industry exhibition and sale, agrarian forum, conference, businessmen's meeting and a chef contest are also on offer.
