I intend to cycle from Budapest to Gyula.
What possibilities are there to fly from Gyula to Budapest?

Hello,
the best if you use the railway back from Gyula to Budapest. There is NO airfare from Gyula to Budapest. You can use www.elvira.hu it is the hungarian railway timetable.
From Budapest to Gyula there is no special cycle way!! The mainroad is full with camions!!! BE CAREFULY!!!!!
Sometimes you will find special cycle way but most time you have to use the mainroad!
From Debrecen to Budapest there is airfare but not all year!

Domestic flights were cancelled in the 60s, they took the same time as taking a train, considering airports are located further away from city centers.
There are minor roads you can take to Gyula, actually you're not allowed to cycle along the major highways. Buy a good road map and stay away from highways numbered between 1-11, also M0-M9, and some sections of those numbered 12-9x.
As for bicycle carriage on trains: from that direction, no trains forward bicycle carriages. However, you're always allowed to carry your bike (holding a bicycle ticket of course) on the foremost and backmost platform of any train (not carriage, train!) given it is not a 1st class car. Also be aware that bicycles can not be carried on InterCity, InterCityRapid, InterPici, EuroCity or EuroNight trains if they have no bicycle carriage.
