Churches in Budapest
by paddingtonbears
I wonder whether anybody can advise me on where would be good to go to Mass on a Sunday in Budapest. I know that both St Stephen's basilica and the Matthias church have Mass in Latin at 10 a.m. on Sundays. Are there other churches that have a Mass in Latin on Sundays? Ideally I would like to go to a Mass that has music. Would those two churches be the ones with the best choirs, or are there others? I am happy to go to Mass in the ordinary or the extraordinary form, but assume that the ordinary form is the one I would find at the larger churches anyway. If the Mass is advertised as being in Latin will the entire service be in Latin or will there still be some parts of it in Hungarian, such as the readings?

PS. I already know that the 'old rite' (i.e. extraordinary form?) is celebrated at 3.30 p.m. on Sundays at the Inner City Parish Church.
