You should go by all means to one of the pleasant thermal baths, Gellert, Szechenyi or the original turkish baths Kiraly at least once during your stay in Budapest. There are several open air baths (Palatinus, Szechenyi), too where you can take a sauna, go in for swimming, have a massage, then sit in the 36 degree Celsius warm water wathing people playing chess on floating tables. And you hardly pay for all these things, but have a wonderful experience.Life goes on late in the evening in the city. There are all kinds of cultural events you can enjoy. You may experience people walking in the pedestrian zones like Vaci utca and Raday utca. Newly Liszt Ferenc ter is trendy lined with fashionable bars and restaurants.
