I did not noticed in what part of this hotel it is 4 starred.... I guess, it is in price? Well, better avoid it, though, it is close to metro station and railway station Keleti.
Hall small, rooms small, dark and depressing... Or maybe we just were not lucky?
The hotel is situated just next to one of the railway stations not to close to the city centre. The area where the hotel is situated is kinda rough however if you follow the main streets there should not be any trouble. Since it is a bit to far to walk to many of the sights it is recommendable to take the metro close to the hotel downtown.
The rooms were nicely furnished hower the carpet was dirty. The cleaning ladies did not respect "do not disturb" signs and generally did a poor job. Breakfast was ok. The reception was good during the day and evening however the night receptionist ordered the crappiest taxi in Budapest to take us to the airport.
The personel was very helpful when was asked info and thing in a very gentle way. We had a "twin" bed insead of double bed in our reservationbut they managed to solve this trouble in 10 minutes! Others that will shout or aske rudly will not have the same service! I don't think is exacly a 4 star hotel, maybe a 3 is more true. I also reccomend it because of the location. Being near the keleti train station you have the sub that can reach everywhere, but even walking is not far from Blaja square!
I liked very much the breackfast room with the big window roof. Very nice
