5 stars service for the price of 4 stars
The hotel is situated 10 min. from the city centre, but they have an own shuttle, costs only 5 Eur / pers. The hotel room is very comfortable; they offer a pillow menu as well!
Unique Quality: The concierge service is very great, like in some 5 stars hotel. Before the arrival, they sent us by mail a recommendation and description how to get the hotel. During our stay they provided an very detailed program offers, helped to get tickets in the State Opera.
The hotel staff was very helpful!

Holiday Inn - Budapest - Budaörs
Unique Quality: As arriving in any major city, I generally prefer to find a hotel on the outskirts and venture into city as I choose to do so. When I arrived in Hugary, I asked at the border of just such a location. I was instructed to stop in the town of Budaörs just prior to arrival in Budapest. When I got there, a Holiday Inn hotel was prominitely visible. I stopped and proceeded to stay there for my stay. Located very close to downtown, this hotel can accommodate 320 guest and has 6 spacious meeting rooms. Frequent shuttle buses conveniently transport you to and
from the heart of Budapest. The hotel features a sauna, tennis courts, billiards and darts, and a very nice lobby bar by day, piano bar by night. Enjoy your visit, I sure did!

I am staying at the Holiday Inn in August for 2 nights, and wondered about the best way to get from the Airport to the hotel? Also how far and how easy is it to get to the city centre from here?

Because the Holiday Inn Budapest-Budaörs is located outside Budapest at the highways M1-M7 the best and the most simple way would be to book a transfer at the hotel.

More importantly, the mini bus will charge you a surcharge because they consider it outside the city limits.

The fares are fixed according to the information of the hotel, there is no surcharge! Shuttle charge (one way): 12,00 €, taxi charge (one way): 37,00 €

I was talking about the airport minibus, not the shuttle.

The transfer service your hotel offers should only cost €20 one way (at least this is how much we paid). Most convenient way.
