Clean, cosy and quiet
A cracking wee hotel. I stumbled upon it by accident when I arrived in Budapest without making a reservation. I toodled off to the tourist info place who told me that there were only 3 (!) beds available in the city. The two other hotels were miles away and looked like really ropey porn sets so I plummed for the Astra. Cracking place: discreet staff: left me to my own devices as I sank into a huge leather sofa and drank beer whilst watching the National Geographic.
Good breakfast followed one of the best night's sleep I've ever known. Only downside was that there was in the room a fairly noisy fridge but I was so pooped it didn't really bother me all that much.
