Accommodations were basic, though it was nice to enter through the lobby of the Hungarian Culture Foundation, and to look out of our window upon the quiet courtyard in back.
They include a free breakfast with various servings: croissants, bread, muffins and danishes, cold cerials, yogurt, coffee, tea, and some fruit.
Charming? Well, no, but Budapest the city was charming enough to leave us fulfilled. It's simple and basic, maybe a little rustic.

Despite typical January weather, we found the 10-15 minute walk to Metro stop Moszkva Ter very charming (if slightly touristy), with old buildings, unusual architecture, and winding streets. We were also next to the Matyas Church, perhaps the highlight of the visit.
