Like Paris
I don't know if anyone agrees, but to me Budapest feels a lot like Paris. The architecture, the boulevards, the river, the two sides of the river...
The Paris of eastern Europe, but not to diminish Budapest's own value as a city!

Hello all.
I'm planning to visit this museum during my next visit to Bp.
I've studied their website, it mentions guided tours and groups for guided tours... then it says 'Photography or filming during group visits is not permitted'.
Does this mean that it is ok for some individuals to take pics? I'm not so sure about the wording here, because there are some English grammar errors on the site, albeit just a few. But i saw a few snaps on a couple of travel websites posted by tourists, so i guess you might be able to get a few sneaky pics without using the flash? :)
Anyone been to the museum? Or better still, taken a few pics in there? :)
Regards
DG
Hello,
Their website says in hungarian that you are not allowed to take photos as the groups will split in this case. So if you can take pictures quickly you will be able to do it. There are several days when you can visit this musuem on half price. Theese days are published on their site.
In the hotels and tourist offices you can find minicards which gives you 10% off from the adult ticket price. I saw a minicard for this museum last year but I can not find it on their website now. Don't forget to check and pick up one in your hotel.

There is another cave museum close to this one: http://www.labirintus.com/en/1
It's also worth to check it. If you visiting this don't forget not taking it seriously it's not a real museum with antic stuff but it's fun. We enjoyed it after we noticed the fun side.

The Mathias Church seen from the walls of the fishermans bastion . For a small entrance fee , you my see the interrior of the church , also a museum / exhebition inside . The church is very beautiful both exterior and interior and is well worth a visit .
Unicum is a more than 40 herbal digestif.
It is very common to drink a glass of Unicum after a big meal.
Some of the restaurant will give you a glass of Unicum after you finish to eat.
On the right-hand side of Hosok tere stands this alaborately decorated plain brick building. The Exibition Hall shows domestic and fpreign work in every season. This is the largest venue in the capital for temporary exibitions.
Hungary it's known for its wines. I tried some ofthem and I liked Tokaj, the sweet wine, the most. I didn't like at all a liqueur that it'a in black bottles. It's too bitter and it reminded me a medecine!!!!
