See the part known as the 'buda'-part. It consists of a a great hill area with the statue of liberty standing holding up a feather against the sky. And the whole area in Buda is pretty cool. See the park in the middle of the Dounau. See the parlement building! Meet some of the Budapest citizens!
Erzsebet hid

Southwards from the most famous brige (Szechenyi) there is this dark green one who runs from Gellert area in Buda to central streets in Pest and further away to Rakozci and Keleti
It was my fault i didnt see Gellert but i walk at night from Deli station to this bridge, where by the way if you need to take the bus is just after crossing to Pest almost under the bridge, so i saw some former buildings beneath wester side buda castle , a different point of usual view ..always from the river and Pest side!
Be careful when coming by car

One of the local customs seems to separate visitors from their cars. Even if Germany or the Germans not really are loved everywhere German trademarks of cars are it, in Budapest and elsewhere.
IMPORTANT: I do not want to blame individual Hungarians for that. Maybe the thieves even were not Hungarians in my case but for sure they had excellent relations with the police and/or other Hungarian authorities. Because even experts from Volkswagen, the Austrian police and my insurance stated that a car equipped against theft as mine can be stolen from such a location (Castele hill) only with help or extreme tolerance of the police.
If my in my country police and other authorities were that corrupt we probably would reach the same car theft records as Hungary in a few months.
Packing List
by cobrioc
When packing, it's important to know the value and contents of each bag, just in case they're lost. Label them with your name, contact number and destination address in Budapest if traveling as a couple, group or family, avoid packing each person's clothes into just one bag/case. That way, even if you do lose baggage, you'll still have some fresh clothes on day two.
If you plan to take a PC notebook onto a flight, international safety regulations mean you won't be able to use it during takeoff and landing. 35 mm film lost or damaged during developing, laboratories are only obliged to replace it with another of the same value. Your guidebook is your best resource for finding important information such as places to stay, eat, local customs, everything you need to know about the city or country that you're in.

St. Margaret's island; located in the middle of Danube. It is well worth renting a bike for an hour and touring the island. Lots of trees and views of the Danube. We walked from the Castle (not the Bastion) and it was a long walk (take a cab). The distances are slightly deceiving as some of the buildings I was using as landmarks were huge in size.
