great service

After staying in another "Grand Hotel" hotel for a few nights, we moved to this hotel....
If only we had done it sooner.
The rooms are very tidy and modern and service that was outstsanding.
location is moments from the M1 with it cute stations that was built over 100 years ago, in 10 minutes you are in the heart of city. I minute you are at heros square and the park.

Serviceable and Inexpensive

Hotel Liget is a good 30 minute walk from downtown, but it's only a block from the Hosok Tere stop on the Yellow Line. However, the Metro stops running at about 11pm, so if you're doing the Budapest nightlife, prepare to spend your savings on cab fare.

Decor is nothing special, but a double in the off-season is only 60 Euro. Includes a breakfast buffet, which offers a fair variety, but is very, very crowded.

Unique Quality: Sauna and massage available, but I didn't use either one.

Hello Anita! I would recommend the Ibis Hotels, because they have a decent price despite the central location.
Here the sites in order to controll.

I have stayed at Ibis Budapest Vaci út and can recommend it. You can walk from the hotel to Heroes' Square and City Park or you could take the subway to the city center. The station is Dozsa Gyorgi út and it's located basically in front of the parking lot and the reception.

Thanks to both of you . We have stayed in Ibis in other countries in Europe and were pleased with them . I'll check them out

Hi!
I stayed at this place.
The location was perfect and the room was lovely.

Re: Hotels

I've stayed in Vaci út and it worked for me and my man, and we stayed 2 nights. We didn't spend more than 10-15 minutes going to where we wanted to go (be it subway or walking to the City Park/Heroes' Square). However, I do agree that looking for accommodations close to Vaci utca or Andrassy avenue might work better for you.

Hi L.

We will have to make sure we get there. It is something we will both look forward to...not sure what we'll wear though.
