Great Hotel, Amazing Staff!

We've just got back from a 3 night stay at the Zara in budapest! My boyfriend and I were very impressed with the service, quality and overall image of the hotel!
GREAT location, right in the heart of things, next to the Danube, Vaci U. shopping district and the indoor market!
We arrived on my brithday, and within minutes of checking in to our room, a tray of gorgeous cakes appeared with a brithday card from the hotel....they also delt with EVERY request we had, from UK plug adapters, new towels and extra shower stuff!
The room is fairly small, but really really nicely desgined and thought out!
The reception and resturant staff were extremly helpful, and even recommended some excellent resurants to visit and advised us on every aspect of our holiday!
The only thing I would say, is as it is a small resturant in the Boutique style hotel, get to breakfast before the rush! I would also add, that the hotel taxi service ISNT the cheapest, and another couple got it much cheaper direct from the airport!

Great Hotel in central location

I took my boyfriend to this hotel for his birthday - we stayed for 4 nights.
The reception staff were helpful and attended to all our needs.
The rooms were tastefully decorated, but very very small only room for one suitcase stand. The bathroom was well equiped with a walk in shower. The room was cleaned well daily with towels and toiletries replaced. The room was warm but we had hot weather but I believe there is air con in the summer.
flat screen tv with limited English channels. No hot drink facilities but a mini bar in the wardrobe. Free safety deposit box in room.
Breakfast came with the price - small dining room which can be a squash at busy times. Wide range of breakfast items, cereals, breads, pastrys, fruits, yoghurt and some random hot items. The coffee machine was lovely.
We never ate in the hotel as we were so close to resturants. We used the taxi service from the airport which was alot cheaper than what the hotel was offering.
overall excellent location - we walked everywhere from here or walked to the underground station. Beware the rooms are small, but typical of boutique hotels. Well worth a stay.
Just the job

I’ve stayed in several hotels in Budapest, mainly on business, and this place is close to the top of the list.
On the plus side the rooms are very tastefully decorated but a little on the snug side I admit. I found all the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The bar area is very smart and you can’t fault the location for nightlife as Raday Street is on a 5 minute stroll.
However, the small restaurant gets a bit crowded at breakfast. Tourists may be put off by the fact that the nearest metro station (Kalvin Ter) appears to be closed as part of the line extension work.
Can’t knock it for the price though……

Located at the south end of Vaci Utca pedestrian street,
it may seems to be far away but it is not.
The location means that you are not in the middle of the tourist part of the Utca street.
Across the street from excellent Central Market.
Only 10 min walking from Erzsebet Square.
Across the river from the Gellert's Spa.
The hotel offers very comfortable beds, flat screen TVs,
full breakfast as well as an evening bar.

Just returned from a trip to Budapest and it was made even better by the hotel. The service is beyond expectations, its a great location, and the rooms are quite trendy. It was my girlfriends birthday while we stayed there and without me even mentioning this they sent a complimentary cake to our room waiting for us after a day of sightseeing.
The breakfast is also very good.
