Cheap and cheerful

We were a bit worried about staying at the Easyhotel, despite having seen decent reviews. Well, add this to them.
Five nights for two people cost us an unbelievable total of €87.
The room was very small, but it was spotlessly clean. The location is great, minutes from the metro line that takes you either to the city centre or to City Park and Heroes' Square.
We had three large bath towels. If you want more during your stay, it's €1 each. You can have your room tidied for a charge, or do it yourself. You can rent a remote control that allows you to watch the telly, or you can concentrate on seeing Budapest - believe me, you won't run out of things to see.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and a new restaurant has just opened right next door with a decent buffet breakfast for €4 (7-10am). There's also a pub right beside the hotel. There are also vending machines in the hotel with coffee, soft drinks and small snacks.
* You can use the internet in the lobby by buying a card. €10 gets you 24 hours - that's 24 hours total surfing time, not use over a 24-hour period.
