This was a well appointed location close to the rail station, the underground and tram stop. Located on Pest, the four star hotel offered a touch of serenity from the mayhem outside.
the dining room was pleasant to enjoy a meal although the portions were a little on the small side and the there was a charge for guests to use the pool area.
Unique Quality: Very comfortable hotel, I didnt t expect to see a statue of Winston Churchill in the lobby though!
My mom and I will be in Budapest this August and we would like to visit the Budapest Zoo. We are staying at the Radisson SAS Beke and we were wondering if anyone would happen to know if that is anywhere near the zoo and what is the best type of transportation to get to the zoo? We're just trying to figure this all out in advance so we don't have to worry about it at the last minute. Also I was wondering, is the Budapest Zoo the one with the special place for the elephants? I read about a place with a dome shaped area for the elephants, I'm just not sure if it was Budapest. If anyone has any suggestions or information on the zoo, It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I was looking for the website, but couldn't find one in English. Thanks for helping!
From Beke Hotel, you may reach the zoo easily by trolleybus 72, stopping at the intersection of Terez korut and Podmaniczky utca, a block away from Radisson. Take it in direction Thokoly ut (coming from the hotel, you don't have to cross any streets at the intersection, the stop is on your right) to the Allatkert (zoo) stop. Don't worry if you miss that stop, the next stop is not too far away. It's about a 10 minute ride.
thanks for your help
