clean, they have a sweeeet housekeeper coming every morning, it is very clean! no lock out, they have lockers and working on a good price! Laundry is a good service!

Unique Quality: Basic rooms, non-stop hot water and tea all day long! I can cook and cooked there for free!

Red Bus Hostel

Red Bus Hostel has a central location, not many minutes away from Vaci utca or Deak Ferenc ter. It is a quiet place (except for the thin walls) and rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are all very clean. There are sheets in the beds so you don?t have to bring your own ones. Breakfast is included in the price and stands on the table from 7.30 - 9.30. There is white bread, butter, jam, milk, corn flakes, coffee and tea. Internet can be used for 1 ft a minute. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
For a double room with breakfast we paid 7900 ft (but I saw the price now is 8300 ft).

Red Bus 1

Our stay at the Red Bus hostel was very pleasant.

It not the most sociable hostel that Ive stayed in, but its clean and centrally located in Pest.

The staff are really helpful, and you can get your laundry done for 1200ft!!!!

Unique Quality: Our dorm was fairly spacious, the breakfast was good - juice, coffee, toast.

The main bonus for us, was that the kitchen here is huge and so well equipped - it has everything that you should need.

The security here is good too, you get a key depending on which dorm you are in, otherwise you need to buzz.

They have Internet access but that is not included in the price.

Great for budget-travellers. Probably.

I have been told that Red Bus Hostel is very quiet, cheap and located in the Pest's center hostel, that is perfect choice for travellers who have not too much money. Unfortunately I coud not be able to check it out myself, because they were already full when I tried to make a reservation (2 weeks before my arriving to Budapest!).

The staff speak English and you can (try to) make your reservation via e-mail.

Sample prices for one night:
dorm bed - about 10 euro
double bath room - 30 euro.

They have not their own parking place so if you want to go the by car you will pay extra money for leaving your car there (in streets of Budapest centrum - paid in parkomats or in guarded parking place).

Unique Quality: The Second Hand Bookshop with English books is there.

Cheap and cheerful

Red Bus is located centrally, close to Astoria, the rooms are basic but cheap, there is a modern kitchen and even a bookshop next door.

Red Bus Hostel

Check for vacancy, prices and reservations at www.hostels.com.

Unique Quality: No bar!!! (Damn!:) But if you can live without a bar and a fellow backpacker chill out area, then Red Bus is probably a very good choice for you.

Very clean and quiet (located on a quiet street), with enough hot water. (Too quiet for me, though;)
