IT was the most disgusting holiday of my life and the worst ever possible to stay at. Can you ever imagine that someone will try and open your traveling luggage whilst the luggage is locked in the Hotel??!! Well it happened to me and the " Guest relations officer" justified herself by saying that such incident never happened before. The air conditioner was just a box making some fan noise and the breakfast was disgusting. One of the two lifts was damaged and remained damaged for the whole week. It is the worst tulip in I have travelled in so far and it will my last because of this sick experince in hungary tulip inn

This is a tourist class (two star) property located on the southeast edge of Budapest (Pest side of Danube on the way to the airport) on a busy expressway diagonally across from the soccer stadium. It is a 5 minute walk from the Nepliget subway station when coming from the airport (there are quite a few stairs when making the bus and metro connection rather than taking the airport mini-shuttle). It is about six subway stops from the town center.
The building probably dates from the communist era (12 foot ceilings, showers only). The front rooms are noisy due to expressway traffic. The rear rooms are much quieter, but are smoking (there was no significant smoke odor in my room and the quiet was worth it). The beds are platform style with a relatively thin mattress, although that was no problem for me. It seems to bother others, and would be an easy upgrade for the hotel to undertake.
There are no stores or restaurants nearby, although the hotel has a bar and there is a basic but tasty breakfast buffet (usually included in the room rate). The desk staff are English-speaking and helpful.
This is a good option for someone on a budget, although I was able to stay at the riverfront Budapest Marriott in an elegant room with a glorious Danube view for about the same price when I bid through Priceline.
Basic and comfortable facilities.
Breakfast was superb. And i really recommend to somebody who on budget book with Easyjet.
Unique Quality: Location just 5 minutes to train station which will only takes you 10 minutes to get to the city.
