On its behalf, Grand Hotel Aranybika has its central location in Piac u., near Debrecen's main square, and the beauty of this historical Art Nouveau building, which turns this into a convenient and exquisite place to stay. Mostly interesting are the façade, the lobby and the dinning-room.
However, if you come by car, the hotel charges for its private parking - 9,00€/day - and, I remind you, we're talking about a 4-star hotel! The hotel is noisy, partly due to its location - on the corner there is a street that gets busy at night due to its bars full of youngsters. On the other hand, the hotel allows the accommodation of guests that keep walking in and out the rooms, corridors and stairs all night long. Strangely enough, one night, getting from dinner there were some women hanging around in the lobby and loud music coming from the hotel club... we could witness both the corridor lights and doors were shut and the lifts didn't work thus creating a private area for those same guests(!?).
The staff/management don't ensure a peaceful stay and, moreover, don't keep the rooms as they were supposed to in a 4-star hotel charging 104,00€ for a single room... At least, they should do the beds! Finally, those who still want to have breakfast have to arrive long before ten o'clock - at 9:30 there was not much to eat and, at 10 o'clock sharp, what still remained was immediately removed to the kitchen.
