    • In Hungary you may find every where the accomodation you need, from five star hotel to camping. One easy way to choose them is searching the net.
    In general, I find the guest houses (Panzio) a nice and good solution, most of them offers good service, backpackers can go for the campings as they are well equiped.

    In Budapest you can find the most luxurious hotels, and the biggest chain hotels too, as well as more humble ones. In the country side there are many rooms as well to rent by private people. On the photo you can see the pool of Hotel Gellért, very Hungarian, old and famous hotel that was literally built on hot water :-) - meaning, there are sources of thermal water under the hotel... Many celebrities have been in this hotel, including some Hollywood stars.

    • I stay with family when I'm there, except for the one time I stayed in an apartment that's meant for tourist rental.

    The fuse box blew one night while I was staying in the apartment, and it was NOT fun! Everything went out. Also, the hot water was very temperamental.

  • Directions: The rental apartment was on Hegedus Gyula street in Pest, which I don't recommend at all. It wasn't the safest area. It was quite central to transit, restaurants, etc., but you don't want to be walkin
