If you visit the Aggtelek-Domica caves, sleep in Jósvafő, a charming little village where the headquarters of the Aggtelek National Park is located. I would advise the Tengerszem Hotel, situated right at the entrance of the cave. And the price is (or was, when I was last there) at about 17 USD/person in a double room. Leave a Comment Theme: Hotel

In Hungary it could be a good idea to go to an hostel. There are lots of hostels in this country,in all the biggest cities and the most important tourist resort. They are clean, safe and cheap. I went to an hostel in Budapest, called 'Griff and Griff junior hostel'. From 750 to 3500 Hun. Forint (because of the different rooms-2,3,4 beds, with shower or only with the sink.)
It is big, more than 600 beds,it gets a restaurant, a bar,the baggage-room,the parking. Moreover,it's open 24 hrs.a day, clean, cheap and always full of people, tourists from all the countries and Hungarian students, because the Hungarian universities use the hostels as accomodation for the people who aren't resident in the city where they are studying so if you go to an hostel it's easier to meet people and find friends.Of course the hostels are a good solution especially if you travel with a group. Leave a Comment Theme: HostelComparison: less expensive than averageDirections: The hostel is located in the southern suburbs of Buda, near the railway station of Kelenfold (Kelenfoldi Palyaudvar),but is well linked with the centre of the city by tramway and buses, even at night (1Other Contact: It is located in Bartok Béla ut,

It has cast iron balconies and peeling paint on the shutters - very olde worlde romantic. It also as a 'modern' 70s extension called the Eger - avoid it unless you have an avid interest in awful architecture. Leave a Comment Theme: Hotel

A very sunny and spacious hostel, recently renovated, well planned and well run. Windows open onto the lovely courtyard in the middle, though it can be noisy at night. The 12 bed dorms are enormous, with dividing curtains between every four beds. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Laundry. A tasty breakfast is included in the rate. Be sure to see the markets and the museums. Th elocals sell excellent handicrafts on the streets of incredible qulity for very cheap, like hand embroided table clothes and runners. Buy lots of them!
